How to Rush Come From Away (and actually get Tickets)
I've seen a BUNCH of posts and have gotten a few questions on rushing Come From Away and since my friends and i rush tickets all the time, i'm just going to share my tips. General Info: CFA has only 10 rush seats after the rush seats are sold they have about 20-25 SRO (Standing Room Tickets) if the show is sold out. Rush Seats are $38 SRO are $32 the theatre accepts cash or credit/debit cards Rush seats are located in orchestra rows G and F on the very very very sides of the rows. They are obstructed view seats. You are going to miss a few things. However the important things happen front and center. Standing Room is located at the back of the orchestra. What Time Do I Need To Get There? 5am if it's a week day, probably earlier if it's a weekend. no, i'm not making that up. by 5:30am most of the time all the rush seats are accounted for and by 6:30am all the SRO tickets are accounted for. If you are like me, and want to maintain a level of sanity and not get to the theatre at 5am, THIS IS WHAT I SUGGEST. On two-show days (Wednesdays and Saturdays) SRO tickets for the EVENING show do not go on sale until 3pm. on Wednesday, you can most of the time show up right at 3 or a little before 3 and grab a SRO ticket. on Saturday, I would get there by like 1:30pm or so. Saturday is tricky, some weeks i've gotten there at 1pm and there has been a handful of people on line but then other weeks i've gone and no one has started lining up until 2pm. If you have any other questions, feel free to message me. I'll be more than happy to answer them.

Rush Ticket Tips
After finally managing to get tickets to Great Comet (third times the charm) I decided to share some advice to anyone who'd like to try it but doesn't know how to make the best of their experience. Tip 1: do your research. Your could easily find information about rush prices and box office openings on any show's website. Keep in mind that many theaters open later and only have one showing on Sundays. Tip 2: Plan appropriately. This kind of goes along with Tip 1 because you have to figure out how early you should arrive. Ask your self how popular the show is, and how long it's been running. One could probably get tickets to a show like Chicago in the early afternoon, whereas with a show like Great Comet the box office employee told me "arriving anytime after 8:15 is always a risk". If you do decide to go early pack appropriately. The only think I'd really recommend are snacks, but don't be afraid to get comfy. Remember, your going to be standing for a few hours. If you want/can, bring a small blanket to sit on. I've even seen people bring foldable chairs. In the winter, also remember to dress warmly. It may seem like an obvious comment but after being outside for a few hours, your going to wish you'd worn a few extra pairs of socks. Tip 3: Have fun. Waiting on line isn't very fun. If you feel comfortable enough, strike up a conversation with your neighbor. I once told someone I liked their Aron Burr hat and we ended up fan girling of Philippa Soo together. Much more fun than standing on line in silence. Tip 4: Have a back up plan. Don't waste a trip to the city just because you didn't get your tickets. Plan something else for you to do just in case. Try seeing if there are any less popular shows you'd also like to see, or if there's an interesting museum or exhibit you'd be interested in checking out. That's all I could think off. Theatre is so important and high prices shouldn't prevent people from seeing shows. So if you want cheaper tickets I highly reccomend trying Rush Tickets.
Does come from away have a lottery/how does rush work? I couldn't find the info on the website 😅 and I consider you to be the expert on all things Come From Away 😂 thank you!!
Hi! I love that you called me the expert on all things Come From Away <3 you made my day
CFA does not have a lotto (i am PRAYING they start one soon...)
Rush Tickets are available the day of the performance at the box office. You have to go in person. They are $38 and will be partial view/obstructed view seats. The box office does accept cash and credit/debt cards for rush tickets. On Tuesday-Saturday the box office opens at 10am, on Sunday the box office opens at 12pm/Noon. I would get there early. I rushed on a Wednesday and I got to the box office at about 7:50am and there were already people there. I suggest getting there 2-2.5 hours before the box office opens for weekday performances and maybe about 3 hours for weekend performances. More people will rush on the weekends since well its the weekend. So yeah, check the weather, dress accordingly, bring layers, bring a book, grab some coffee and some snacks and go hangout on 45th street :)
sooooo has anyone actually rushed Come From Away yet? i'm planning on rushing tomorrow and i'm curious how early i need to get there....
