Don't save him, he's exactly where he wants to be.
The fascinating thing about Eva is that, the more time passes, the more you realise she doesn't exactly represent how you'd expect a Cra to behave. As time goes on, the more she turns out to be a subversion.
Early on, when she's first introduced, she definitely behaves and carries herself like you expect a Cra to. She is smart, oftentimes aloof, somewhat proud, a master archer, and as beautiful as you'd expect the Woodland Beauty's followers to be. But then you get to know her, and the mask starts to crack, whether done so intentionally by the writers or not.
Because Eva is gorgeous and proud, yet she's totally unaware of her own beauty. At first glance she's fairly composed, but then something happens that causes her temper to flare up and she completely loses her cool, a flaw that never really goes away. She's supposed to be the smartest member of the group, yet I don't remember she ever came up with tactics to defeat the Brotherhood's enemies outside of perhaps her focus episodes back in season 2. It's usually somebody else's idea they end up following.
Hell, even Amalia, whose early characterisation was that of a sheltered princess, has shown a surprising aptitude as a strategist when she discussed war plans with her family in season 1 and led Prince Adale's army in season 2.
And then there's how she acts whenever Pinpin is concerned.
For all she's supposed to be the most level-headed one of the relationship, the moment Pinpin is in need of saving, she recklessly leaves everything behind and rushes to help him. Her rescue mission in early season 2, how she ran after him during the season 2 finale, her weird attempt at sacrificing herself to protect him and the children in season 4...
Her relationship with Tristepin, in turn, has the unexpected side effect of highlighting how, for a Cra, she's not all that duty-bound either.
Back in season 2, she was still Amalia's bodyguard, yet that didn't stop her from abandoning her post as she chased after her man. Just like she showed herself far too eager to retire altogether and start a life with Pinpin as soon as they defeated Qilby and Rushu. Maybe it's just me, but you'd expect a woman from a society that's heavily implied to be military-like in nature to hold her position in higher regard.
All in all, Evangelyne is still far more dignified than Cleophée, who's far too rambunctious for a Cra. But that doesn't change the fact that she's, ironically, not the best example of one either...
@tootyrantlove converted me 😔✌️
So here's a lil sketch
I'll probably upgrade it tomorrow, i'm not very satisfied with rushu's size and Qilb bunny hears
I love Dawnshard so much! Rysn's fantasy discord server for paraplegic ladies. Rushu being such a glorious ADHD nerd at all times. The wisdom under the Lopen's goofiness when he talks to Talik and Rysn about their shared experiences of being othered by the Alethi and the able-bodied, respectively. Rysn and Cord both independently having conversations with people where they talked about discovering that they wanted risk and adventure. (👀 please Mr. Sanderson, let them sail around the world together and kiss!!) Rysn crying because Vstim called her a friend. Cord being ready to trick and/or fight any god who comes for Rysn when they've only been friends for like a day. Chiri-Chiri making tiny, adorable roars to protect Rysn. When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail, and when your hammer is trade negotiation, you sit down across from a guy who's 300 cremlings in a trench coat and make a sales pitch for not killing you.
