Oscar: Why did you guys join Salem?

Tyrian: I joined because I was framed for the murders of multiple people while i was out drinking with my buddy who ended up being killed before he could confirm my innocence. Salem said shed help find the guy - or girl - who framed me and help me get my revenge. I stayed because she threatened to hurt my daughter.

Hazel: I joined because the way the kingdoms were running their academies was clearly flawed, as people could die easily. My sister was one of those victims and Salem said shed help me change the world. I stayed because i cant face my parents after what id done.

Cinder: I joined because i was tired of being used as a servant. I came from a hotel owned by a rich woman who treated me like crap, and so did her daughters. I was forced to leave after i killed them and the huntsman who trained me, all in self defense. I stayed because she swore i would never be treated like that again.

Watts: I joined because I was the greatest scientist in all of Atlas, but Ironwood chose that fat imbecile instead of me. I stayed because I can still have revenge.

Oscar: So Tyrian joined because he wanted to clear his name, but instead made it worse, Hazel joined because his sister was killed and he couldn’t handle talking it out with his parents, Cinder joined because she didnt want to be treated like a slave anymore even though thats exactly how shes being treated... and you joined because your ego was bruised?

Tyrian, Hazel, Cinder, and Oscar: No, no it isnt.

(tyrian is mostly hcs while hazel has a bit of hc in it, Cinder and watts are entirely canonical)
