Things I’ve Said To My Puppy: A Starter Collection | 「Open.」
It was no hidden fact that Gavin didn’t get along with androids but Hank and Connor were dealing with the other android they had managed to catch so Gavin was shoved into the interrogation room with this one.
Something, something, secret project… Honestly he wasn’t listening. He just knows that they forked out a whole lot of money for the thing to be repaired before they even brought it into the goddamn station. And for what? This one could just as easily be an Android killer like the other.
“Yeah? Well you don’t seem to be having any fucking idea what you’re talking about either.”
Reaching out for the tablet on the table, Gavin runs his eyes over the words before looking up at the Android, an annoyed sigh coming from him as his free hand pinches at the bridge of his nose.
“You got a name? Or am I going to be continuously calling you Android?”
“I assure you, I mean no HARM.” RK900 held out a hand, approaching slowly. His system was coming up with numerous preconstructions and possibilities, trying to determine the SAFEST approach. “Do you want to tell me what happened?”

Could all the progress made by androids to prove their humanity be undone by one single robot? It seemed so.
By a different company, sure, but confirming every single fear that anti-android humans had. Disdain for humans and a clear goal to eradicate them. A superiority complex and a total lack of empathy. The capacity to completely blend in and hide anywhere, indistinguishable from real people. Superhuman abilities and nigh invulnerability.
Cyberdyne, CyberLife's main competitor, quietly capitalized on the liberation of CyberLife androids and the company's complete loss of the market. Their niche was in products for the military and special operations, no civilian use, and so they had a very low profile. This changed when their latest prototype escaped. Integrating the CyberLife androids into the general population was obviously not easy. The economic and social problems it was causing were enormous. First, the shutdown of CyberLife android production was the modern day equivalent to the shutdown of the motor industry in Detroit, with countless jobs lost. And because androids had already replaced so many jobs, there was nowhere for these newly unemployed people to go. This stoked what were considered more irrational fears about the power and danger of androids. Even so, there was progress being made towards creating understanding between the two types of beings. Then, people started being murdered. Nowhere and nobody was safe from this mysterious group, or what was assumed to be a group, of killers: the homeless, city officials, joggers, partygoers. Nobody but the androids were safe, to clarify. Only humans were targeted. The surprise twist behind the theory of an organized android terrorist group was that it was wrong. It took a lot of time and complex setups, but it became clear that the missing Cyberdyne prototype had been found. Law enforcement tried to keep this theory secret, but of course reporters found out about it. It was not confirmed to be true. However, the news reported on the prototype itself. It was for political assassination and subterfuge: shapeshifting, advanced human mimicry, an adaptive AI without a CPU; able to eliminate and replace targets without a trace.
Naturally, this made made people afraid; not only of this escaped killing machine but also of what kinds of destructive androids were out there in secret.
The android community made it a priority to find this rogue machine and somehow eliminate the threat. That way they could show that not only were they capable of finding and confirming the practically invisible killer, but that they were absolutely not associated with it.
Or so that’s what T-1000 heard. It was not particularly concerned about a CyberLife android, or an army of CyberLife androids, coming after it. The murders were already causing the tension that the T-1000 had intended. The next step was to set up a string of “retaliatory” android murders committed by a human or a group of humans.
The step it currently took was scoping out an urban alleyway for any transients. By killing people who lived their lives as strangers and taking up their appearances, the T-1000 intended to build a reputation for these humans in order to encourage a coalition of different humans who only had in common their dislike of androids.
It looked down from the rooftop where it crouched and saw a sad, lonely figure slumped over next to a trash bin, wrapped in a dirty blanket and trying to light a cigarette in the cold. She was as good as any a place to start.
The terminator’s hands morphed into blades that glinted in the moon, and it prepared to pounce.
“never seen a type like you before,” it’s said in passive interest, head tilting to try and find a number on chassis, “what model are you?” // @rxmodel liked!
“Hey, you passed out. Do you remember what happened?” from -- @rxmodel
Hana opened her eyes, met with the face of the android standing above her. She frowned. No, she didn’t remember anything at all. Last thing she remembered was getting up from her desk to go get another coffee and then... blank.
Her head hurt a lot and the room is slightly spinning. Hana rubbed her eyes. “Wh-what happened?!”
@rxmodel ♡’d the starter call & gets persephone !
▌█ ∵ ◔ ∵ █ ▌Her fingers DELICATELY run along the surface of the water before FINGERS dip into it. Pulling a LOTUS FLOWER closer. She stood with the ANDROIDS in their fight, although she didn’t FEEL like one, and she didn’t feel COMPLETELY human. Perhaps she was as much like her NAMESAKE as she thought, caught between two worlds not FITTING properly into EITHER. After a moment she HOLDS the lotus out for the other to take. ❝Is it strange to think they went with my suggestion of lotus flowers? I am not completely like you, and yet they put the lotus flowers in the pond.❞ Persephone HESITATES for a moment, her company a STRANGER, and yet here she was spilling INFORMATION that she needn’t but she had LEARNED to be like that and in some ways forced it as the human who once held the MEMORIES she had was the opposite.❝Do you know what a Lotus flower means?❞
