You don’t make it to the bed once Caradine gets you inside, you don’t even make it to the couch. Your duffle bag falls to the floor with a thump as he kisses you the way he’d wanted to back when he saw you at the station.
It’s always like this in the beginning, raw, passionate, intense. The time apart is too much, the emotions he’s been repressing they crest inside of him like a restless sea, downing out everything else. You’re already shoving his blazer off his shoulders, it falls into heap at his feet along with the white t-shirt he was wearing and the military jacket. Your fingers thread through his hair, tugging it just a little as his mouth trails down along the curve of your throat. His hands are already drawing the tank top up and over your head, leaving you clad in a simple black sports bra.
I have an ask for Ryan Caradine 🌼 The prompt is 7. And spite's as good a reason to take his power. Thank you so much.

All That Matters - Caradine doesn't expect to see you at the precinct.
First Blush (NSFW) - Caradine can't wait to get his hands on you
Ryan’s a spiteful fuck. He has no problem admitting that. If someone hurts his wife they’re going to pay for it, it’s a simple fact. When he’d seen the bruise on your face last night, he’d put it to one side. The same with the ones that line your ribs. He hadn’t wanted to ruin your homecoming. However he’s been around the block enough times to know that someone has hurt you. He hasn’t been able to stop thinking about it this morning, he’d caught a glimpse of the true extent of it in the shower and it’s been etched into his mind ever since.
You haven’t told him what happened, he can tell you’re still trying to process sit yourself. He knows it’ll manifest in the days to come but he’s desperate to know now because if he does it means he’ll know how best to help you.
He goes to the source, Sergeant Assam Gibbons. The two of you have worked together for a long time, there’s no one else he’d trust to have your back.
“Stanford tried to assault her.” Gibbons tells him as they walk down the corridor to the interrogation room. “It’s why we had to terminate the op early.”
The thought of another man trying to force himself on you, it makes him want to break something. He thinks of what you said last night about getting out of undercover work, being a normal detective, it makes a lot more sense to him now.
“Trust me.” Gibbons says as he puts his hand on the door handle leading to the observation room. “He came off worse.”
Gibbons isn’t kidding. Stanford’s sitting in interrogation room with his left arm in a sling and a broken nose. He can tell from all the shifting and wincing he is doing that at least two of his ribs are broken.
“I wanted to show you what she did to him.” Gibbons tells him crossing his arms over his chest. “To remind you that she can handle herself in the field.”
“Assam.” Ryan says carefully. “I know how tough my wife is. She’s the one who wants to stop, I’m the one supporting that choice.”
“I think that would be a really bad decision.” Gibbons says quietly. “The work she does is excellent, I don’t know what we’ll do without her.”
Ryan’s expression hardens as he looks at the other man in the reflection of the window.
“Then I guess you’ll just have to figure it out.”

On the darker nights, you get me through
My body pressed against your body, babe, I'm hittin' places that nobody can
Somethin' 'bout rough hands on a hard-workin' man
And I'm still fantasizin' 'bout what I wanna do to you
Like a thief you stole my heart without a sound
Make the drive if you want me tonight
Now you're sayin' that you wish you would've cleaned up But you know I don't care about that
Wondering when you'll come back home
Girl, I meant what I said When I said, "I do"
Take it off, you want it off'Cause I know what you're feeling It's okay, girl, I feel it too
You were singing in the same key as me
When you're leanin' in and kissin' me And I can't stop kissin' you back
Though time to time my mind may run to you
Slowly steaming up the windows
We got all night, girl, we can take it slowly
Baby, we can slip right out of that barroom door
Can't take my eyes off you, baby
And I remember rainy nights in late September
Let me touch you where you like it
You should be with him, I can't compete
But what he'll never have is the love I have for you
Well, I've been wondering when you'll call my phone
So guide me down the darkest road you ever saw
And when I take you home, don't worry, babe
We'll get tattoos, and we'll trash hotel rooms
Let me show you just how much I want ya
I'm tellin' you to lock the door
Deceive and fuck me
And I found you like a melody
Oh, love it when I tear off your clothes
It hurts like hell to say "I hope you find someone new"
My skin on your skin, again and again
Those tangled up mornings lost in paradise
Hold tight for this ride, We don't need no protection
Sunlight, it's on her skin
Burn it up like neon lights
You're laying on my forearm like heaven sent you
Baby, we can take our own show on the road
And I spent a whole lot of nights missing her
Close your eyes, lay yourself beside me
You're pullin' me closer, your head on my shoulder
Thinkin' 'bout those sunsets that bled into jean jacket nights
And I'll know the day that she heads my way 'Cause her love, it sets me free
Gettin' dirty looks from people at the bar
When we talk about how our future wedding would go
I will leave you broken and in ruins
Am I a fool for running back to you each night?
Here's to the hey I think we need to talk
Knowing you, you'd set the whole damn house on fire
She's somewhere West wearing a cotton dress
Here's to the one that my family thought Was gonna make me drop to one knee
A little dirty dancin'
I know we both know what were doing is wrong But tonight I know you'll end up in my room
I should call it off right where we're standing
I'd be lovin' you as usual, tellin' you you're beautiful
I know the story, baby, I want a confession
Running around like you don't even wanna be you
Give me a half an hour for a shave and a shower And I'll be outside your house
Wondering if this last goodbye is really our last
I can't lie, you're all I see and it's the death of me

First Blush (NSFW) - Caradine can't wait to get his hands on you
Ryan does not expect to come across you during the course of his investigation. As far as he was aware you’re undercover assignment was in Long Beach. They do that on purpose, so you don’t run into anybody from your regular life.
When he sees you in Stanford’s office, dressed in silk blouse and pencil skirt, filing his paperwork, it takes everything in him not to stare. It’s so far removed from the woman he loves, the one who wears ripped jeans and old band shirts that he struggles to reconcile it.
It kills Ryan not to acknowledge you, to feign disinterest in your comings and goings the same way he would if you were any other legal secretary because as a cop it’s not you he’s interested in, it’s your boss.
He lingers by your desk on the way out, his fingertips coming to rest on the polished wood.
“Can I help you Detective?” You ask, tilting your head up towards him.
When your eyes meet it feels like someone has punched the air right out of his chest, because it’s been two months since he’s gotten lost in those eyes, since he’s touched you, loved you.
“No.” He says softly. “No, there’s nothing you can help with.”

All That Matters: Sergeant Ryan Caradine x Reader (The Rookie)
Tagging: @kmc1989
Caradine isn’t big on PDA, he never has been. His affection for you is reserved for your more private moments because when he gets his hands on you it always gets a little heated. He’s a passionate man, he can’t help the way he feels when he looks at you.
It’s late and he’s the last one leaving tonight. He does this when you’re on assignment, buries his himself in his work. He doesn’t like to go home to an empty house, lay in a bed that’s otherwise vacant. The home you share lacks warmth when you’re not there, it’s devoid of colour and texture.
It’s at the foot of the stairs that he finally lays eyes on you. You have your duffle bag slung over your shoulder and you’re wearing that battered old military jacket of his, the one you always take with you when you go undercover.
“Something to remind me of you.” You had told him, the first time you had pulled it on.
He would have given you anything in that moment, the damn jacket was a small concession for having you back home safe with him.
It’s been a couple of weeks since he last saw you and he’s missed you with a ferocity he feels in the very depths of his soul. When you tilt your head up towards him, he slows his step, his eyebrows furrowing into a frown.
“Oh Mari.” He whispers, his fingertips chasing over the purple bruising that blossoms across your cheek.
Someone’s hit you, he can see the indentation of the ring imprinted on your skin. It makes something wild raise up inside him, something savage and vengeful. You must see it in his eyes because you clasp his hand to your cheek, your lips brushing over the hollow of his wrist.
“It’s not as bad as it looks.” You reassure him, the left side of your mouth quirking up into a smile. ”Nothing that a night back in my own bed with my husband won’t cure.”
He smiles at that. You’re still as fierce and bloody minded as the day he met you. It had driven him crazy in the beginning, it still drives him a little crazy now. He can’t help but kiss you in that moment, it doesn’t matter that you’re both at work, that there’s a couple of unis shamelessly interested in the Sergeant’s love life.
All that matters is you.
“Come on baby,” He says as he draws away, his voice a little husky. “Let’s get you home and into bed.”
