“Well... I gave it a lot of thought before telling you, of course...”  Nervously, she bit her lip and wrung her hands.  “So, yes, I’m certain.”  If two people were in love, they’d do anything to stay together, right?  Aliza would do anything to stay by Prince Xinya’s side.  Maybe it would mean leaving her world to live with him, but she was prepared.  Surely she’d be able to visit this place time and time again...

And then it occurred to her.  He’s saying this because he’s not interested in me.  He wants to gently let me down.  For a split second, Aliza began to frown, before she remembered to keep a smile on her face and be polite.

“I do understand if my feelings are not reciprocated, however.”  It pained her to say the words, but it was the mature way of dealing with things.  “Please excuse me for not taking you into consideration before speaking.”

How long has it been since the humans scooped him out of the sea?  It feels like forever.

Humans are so strange...and that strangeness is terrifying.  Especially when he finds himself in a strange place, nearly empty except for his previous jailers, a bunch of oddly shiny things and...a man with pointed ears similar to his own.  Ah, so that’s why they drugged him...

Whatever magic used to imprison him in a tiny bit of water on land changed into a cube and smaller than the one he was in before coming here.  And the water’s colder.  Much colder.

Ace curls up a bit in the see-through prison, taking care not to let his fins press up uncomfortably against the oddly solid parts of his prison.

Although I think if you're late home tomorrow, you're going to have some very irritated dragons hunting you down and dragging you away from your work..." Niles spoke with his voice barely above a whisper, not wanting to wake the girls after he'd spent so long reading to them. "Come on... I could use an hour or two to relax with you before bed. I'm exhausted..." As if to prove his point, he yawned, covering his mouth with one hand and letting out a heavy sigh when it was over.

Ah.  Xinya’s voice brings him back from...wherever it is his mind goes.  Trances like these aren’t common for Ace, but they do happen.

“Ah, good evening, milord.”  Ace moves closer, not because he wants to be ‘friendly’, but because... because he’s acting on feelings he shouldn’t even have.  It’s not just because the prince outranks him several times over, but because Ace just won’t age, not anymore.

   A foot skidded back from the abrupt hug practically thrown at him and suddenly, he was grateful for the years Elise launched herself at him. Though there was little preparation for the way Xinya squeezed  the air out of him, Xander barely contained a wheeze from the force, had being on his own changed the younger prince so much?    Not forgetting to return the embrace, the elder prince of Nohr (much more gently)  wound his arms around the dragon, “I see some of you hasn’t changed, however.” He openly teased, even going as far as to bring a hand up and ruffle at the tussle of brown hair.

🔺 @ryuunooji 🔻 (continued from ask) Niles hadn't wanted to pay such an exorbitant price for a slave, but once he'd laid eyes on him, he knew that he simply had to have him. Apparently he was 'special', whatever that meant, which was why he was so damned expensive. He made his way down to the room where his new purchase would be waiting, eager to speak to him, to touch him, see if he was worth all of that money. Pushing open the door, Niles found him sat prettily on the bed. Perfect. "Evening," he greeted. "So... What's your name, hmm? I need to know what to call my new little pet, after all~"
