hermitcraft s11 bases through the eyes of keralis' final nautilus race
the back half of s11 is so fun. first sentence out of deans mouth every SINGLE episode is “what about cas” “i’m worried about cas” “we gotta find cas” “we’re gonna save cas whether he likes it or not” “but will this plan hurt cas” “i haven’t slept in a week looking for leads on cas” and in every one of these scenes sam responds with a delicacy that suggests he is very concerned that dean will fling himself off a nearby cliff if they don’t get cas back soon
- "Who's Greg?!" - "Not everyone knows."
NORMAN REEDUS as DARYL DIXON The Walking Dead — S11E18
Going :3c at the running theme of spectacle + audience that a bunch of the Hermits are playing with this season (and I suspect more will do so as we continue)
If the #1 storyline in MCYT is 'uh oh, I/you/my build/my pet/the world/etc got possessed', the #2 storyline is 'what if I got meta with it and told a story about the inherent [ joy | horror | isolation ] of performing for an audience to make a living'
Joe Hills is building a TV studio, and plans (to my understanding) to create sets and 'pitches' for adaptations of irl TV shows, but as they would be written/pitched in a different fictional world
Beef is a corrupt 80s music producer, who is (so far at least) lying about interactions w/others to exploit them for content
Scar is operating on both sides of the 4th wall to create a Star Wars-inspired build which is explicitly positioned as being filmed on a set/in front of a green screen. In some 'real world' positioned between our world and S11 Scar, his entire base + build is CGI for a movie.
Joel is playing a clownish, cartoonishly upbeat figure who is glitching out of his video confines (whether because the audience isn't engaging in the desired way or bc those confines are simply not suited to him remains to be seen.) Also on his skin post Hoffen references Static by Flavor Foley, which. Go watch that video and you'll get why he's on this list.
Anyways your fandom homework is to go watch Etho's episode 404 and start thinking about the 4th wall 👍
