The Genesis Frog - a phrase I’m willing to bet is capitalized even without Kanaya’s quirk - would fit right in with Bilious Slick's other titles.

I think Jade's literally trying to create Slick, or an iteration of him, and that deriving his genome is crucial to the session's endgame. He's been haunting us for thousands of pages, and his importance is nothing less than absolute.

What is the purpose of Bilious Slick, the Genesis Frog?

She's deadass, isn't she? She's not being figurative, allegorical or metaphorical. Kanaya is literally saying that if you zoom out far enough from a universe, you'll see Bilious Slick's beady eyes staring back at you. The true shape of reality is a thing that croaks.

This is why Derse hates him. He's a symbol of Player victory, and Derse's entire raison d'etre is to oppose the Players. The amphibian civil war was signalling the opposing Carapacian attitudes to the creation of a universe.

This is why Aradia associates Slick with probability. He contains all possibilities because he's made of Paradox Space.

This is why Vriska was so surprised that John found one in his Land. Creating frogs is an endgame quest, and her own Space Player took weeks to make progress in cloning them.

The Forge hasn't even entered yet, and John's already holding one of the ancestors of his nascent universe.

And this the answer to the Great Frog Riddle. It's why Slick stands at the peak of every Sburb Temple - because he is its genesis, its purpose and its prize.

Bilious Slick is more than a god – he’s a space for gods to fill.

This is the first troll we've seen who's not a newborn grub or thirteenish-year-old Player. I guess they pupate directly into a scaled-down version of their adult body.

She looks barely larger than a grub, so it can't have been long since the trials, assuming the Sburb trolls did them at all. The comic has never elaborated on what these trials entail, but I think this is the first aspect of Homestuck's universe that I don't want a loredrop on.

We've talked before about what Dream Moon affinity really means for a Player. The theory I liked the most was that Prospit kids are predisposed to follow their fate, whereas Derse kids are inclined to defy their destiny.

I was under the impression that all futures were certain in the Alpha Timeline. Sure, it might respond to Jade's intentions, but her intentions themselves were already set in stone. From a top-level perspective, there was never any uncertainty.

Maybe, then, Kanaya's just referring to the certainty of events from Jade's perspective. Like, every frog's fate is technically certain, but since Jade doesn't know these fates, they're uncertain to her.

yay new photos for the flash/supergirl crossover!!! how do you feel about barry coming from another universe? im a bit upset at that tbh, i was hoping for there to be an arrow crossover one day

I’ve already talked about Barry and Kara being on different universes. You find all my answers in this tag. I’m not really happy with it, but I guess that’s:

 A metaphor for different channels: hence it’s as difficult to cross the show over as it is for Kara and Barry to meet (even more difficult for Oliver).

A way to explain the lack of Supergirl news and mentions in the Arrowverse (although I guess Supergirl is now to be considered part of it; I’m not sure though).

A way not to interwine storylines too much, right because it will be hard for them to crossover the way they do with Arrow.

Personally, I don’t like it either and it upset me, but whatever, it’s still gonna be cool. The awesomeness doesn’t mask my delusion, but it’s not a big deal. I wish things were different, but I understand why they couldn’t be.
