s11e22 -- "We Happy Few"

well, i made it to the end of season 11. there's a lot of ups and downs over the years, but all over, i think season 11 is where the series truly dips. none of the characters had very interesting arcs, and the last older cast exited left and right quite unsatisfactorily. unfortunately, i'm not very interested in the newer cast

carter was spinning his wheels as well, though i did like the last two episodes where he and kem decided to finally go for it. kem is his best relationship from the bunch. you don't see him like that with anybody else he dated (and god did he date), and i thought they have lovely chemistry together

the sentimentality of carter's going away party, the old photos they had of him and mark greene, and hearing the voiceovers from the old cast really got to me! eleven years for the character, and eleven years for the actor, too. i'm sentimental and liked to see the layering of that

i'm gonna go onward to his bits in s12, and then the end of s15 for all the og cast bits. and then i don't know what the hell i'm going to do with my life since i've been re-watching ER for the past month
