One of my favorite examples of Jared Padalecki being the only person on set who actually cared about portraying Sams PTSD is in We Happy Few. Because obviously the episode isn’t about Sam. But Lucifer is staying at his house, in his bed, and Sam’s the one who has to mediate between Lucifer and Chuck. There’s nothing in the actual dialogue that shows how Sams feeling here, not really, but Jared stutters through every line, adds flinches when Lucifer gets violent, constantly moves his hands and overall gets across the message that Lucifer being there makes Sam incredibly anxious.
