Very disappointed in the Sims community and their very vocal distain towards Black Simmers for begging for a Caribbean/African themed world, especially because they're literally SO MANY American/European themed worlds...like there's even 3 Asian/2 Latinx themed worlds and we barely have 1, EVEN THE DAMN IMAGINARY STAR WARS WORLD BUT NO...we get edges, hairs, SOME clothing, but not a world? Like the closest thing we have to anything Caribbean is the St.Feu household that Maxis created, and even then that's JUST A HOUSEHOLD ON THE GALLERY. Stop silencing BLACK Simmers, like y'all show y'all asses every time we speak our opinions or real shit. A whole account was suspended because of the mass reporting just because a Black Simmer asked to be represented...I hate how even in the big year of 2025, over 25 years of The Sims, it's never enough being a Black Simmer.

Here's a mod I made for personal usage some time ago, rerelease news motivated me to finally finish it. Installation instructions included in the .txt file. Doesn't affect Fame career (there's only this).
There are two versions, one include optional replacement Art career.
Note about different languages: This mod was build for USEnglish, but it should work with others as well. Things that won't work include: modifications to level titles (and numbers), descriptions and career names. Art career isn't localized, so choose Entertainment version. This note probably also applies to UKEnglish. See note about chance cards under the cut.

Chance cards that promote to different careers replaced with new, regular chance cards. New cards descriptions for USEnglish only - feature itself works for all languages, but outcomes won't make sense with card descriptions
"Standardized" salary and working hours. All sims now work from 8AM to 3PM, children now come home an hour later at 4PM. Each level now adds §100 to overall salary, because I was lazy with that one I wanted equality. Level 10 now pays only §1000, so this whole mod isn't too overpowered
I got inspired by this post by @simlanecc where they removed the crystal ball from the crystal ball table. I always thought the head jar table from Livin' Large was soooo pretty but I'm not the kind of person who likes to use a head jar as decoration for my sim's home.

The original table is way taller than any surface in the game so I had to resize it. Now it works as an end table. Categorized to work in Downtown. And should work with ANY version of the game since I used a base game end table as my base.
i wanna be excited about the sims 1 and 2 re-releases but knowing the cc community is gonna capitalize the fuck out of them worries me. like if you think it's bad now, i have a sneaking suspicion it's only going to get worse
Did you ever finally find matching walls and tiles for your bathroom... only to end up with a non-matching mess when you place the objects?
If this ever bothered you (or you sometimes just want a white bathroom), here's my Simple Bathroom! These are recolours of the cheapest bathroom objects, so the set is affordable and looks nice as well. The bath mat is a recolour of the MM rug, I've priced it a little lower (150 Simoleons).
The set contains:
– Toilet
– Shower
– Bathtub
– Counter
– Bath mat
I really wanted to give the Goths a nice porch, but since The Sims 1 doesn’t have foundations, I needed CC to do it. And since I’m sure there are some people playing the game even now, and I had kind of a hard time finding these myself, I figured I’d make a little bit of a CC shopping list related to building porches and foundations!
You can get everything you need for a nice porch (with a slightly better roof than mine pictured above tbh) from Persimmon Grove’s verandah set. They also have a nice build guide and a copy of the invisible floor you’ll need.
The railing recolors (+ more) and gray lattice is from SirenShadowSims. They also have some elevated floor trims that might work nicely.
The particular roof pieces I used for the Goths are found here. They’re technically for gables though so they’re not perfect as porch roofs.
Beverly of Poetica Place made a bunch of foundation pieces available at SimsCave.
Poetica Place also has a bunch more gable roof pieces here under Stackable Sets.
Those are the ones I’ve found so far. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find any more recolors of the verandah roof pieces, so maybe I will have to remedy that myself...
There are also some sets around with decorative stairs and whatnot but I haven’t quite figured out how to make them look right yet.
