Very disappointed in the Sims community and their very vocal distain towards Black Simmers for begging for a Caribbean/African themed world, especially because they're literally SO MANY American/European themed worlds...like there's even 3 Asian/2 Latinx themed worlds and we barely have 1, EVEN THE DAMN IMAGINARY STAR WARS WORLD BUT NO...we get edges, hairs, SOME clothing, but not a world? Like the closest thing we have to anything Caribbean is the St.Feu household that Maxis created, and even then that's JUST A HOUSEHOLD ON THE GALLERY. Stop silencing BLACK Simmers, like y'all show y'all asses every time we speak our opinions or real shit. A whole account was suspended because of the mass reporting just because a Black Simmer asked to be represented...I hate how even in the big year of 2025, over 25 years of The Sims, it's never enough being a Black Simmer.

REMOVE YOUR MODS FOLDER WHEN YOUR GAME UPDATES. DO NOT PUT IT BACK IN UNTIL YOU KNOW THE MODS YOU USE ARE CLEAR AND/OR HAVE BEEN UPDATED.

This is NOT difficult and you WILL survive in a unmodded save for a short while.

If you have issues in your game, TAKE OUT YOUR MODS. ALL OF THEM. DO NOT LEAVE ANY IN THE GAME. If you can reproduce the issue, post on the bug forums. Several people wasted a lot of helpers time on the forums the other day for what was a mod issue. So please take them ALL out and reproduce the issue before posting on the bug forum.

YOU are responsible for what is in your mods folder. Not the modders. Not the helpers on the EA forums. Not even EA.

Random thoughts I have

Was Get to Work not the perfect pack to relaunch a Sims 4 version of Strangetown? Like Aliens, Scientists and Doctors. That's like most of the Strangetown families covered in one simple go. The Smiths, the Curious Bros, the Beakers, the Singles. I've said it to myself before and I'll say it to whoever is reading now... WE WERE ROBBED. I get not wanting a large separate world because there were 3 special lots but COME ON. (Would it not be hilarious to have every single Sim born in a hospital born in Strangetown? because I think it would.)

And on the same note, the Grunts in Strangerville. They suit the whole aesthetic AND YET THEY WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THE GAME PACK. They could have been from a different point in the timeline, we could of had the Grunts pre-Lyla dumping Buzz's ass. Set it at a different point in the timeline for all I care.

Not including the whole of the Pleasant family when Discover University launched was a crime. I wanna know if Mary-Sue and Daniel parted ways or if that redheaded snake managed to stick around. They didn't even have to live on the same lot as Angela and Lilith. (Also can we stop with the Burb erasure, they would have been way better. As a set up for Lucy going to university because she's not that much younger than her cousins)

Also High School Years (or whatever it's called) like there were so many families with teens that could have been brought back. The Montys Vs Capps while not really fitting with the American High School experience would have been wild.

Ophelia not officially being part of the Life & Death pack will forever annoy me (and she's older than Nervous? No!) I can ignore Nervous not being taken away I'm fine with that, but not even have a child Ophelia living with her aunt Olive after her parents just died? Like come on, give me a subplot outside of Layne Coffin, give me the early years.

I've not played with the Adventure Awaits pack, but I refuse to accept Skip Broke being alive in any way shape or form. Next time I see him he better be dead.

Idk I guess I'm just really passionate for the premades of the Sims 2 base game, but like we can't just pretend they never existed, THE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW.

okay i literally never talk about the sims here but i am SO TIRED of people perma paywalling custom content. its such a gross practice that is pretty much only done for sims content.

sims players are already notoriously getting shit deals for SO MUCH MONEY but charging often upwards of $10 a month for someone to get decor objects into a game you did not make and has not given permission for you to do so is scummy. ea can be shit and you can be also it’s not mutually exclusive.

like when you are creating this stuff you are creating fan work, IMAGINE if a fanfic writer started charging $10 a month for you to access a couple of blurbs. it’s not only illegal but really weird behaviour! anyways i’m tired of it.

also stop advertising your work as early access when we know damn well that is never becoming public.

I saw a reddit comment about the “actual alcohol” mod where they didn’t like how “unrealistic” it was for Sims to pull a ring out of thin air without paying for it.

And you’re going to complain that a HILARIOUS and INVENTIVE mod is not realistic enough?

Gtf outta here. The more days go by, the greater I resent Simmers. Majority of them, anyway…

These people will refuse to fix Maxis oversights in their game and then when someone expands the game, they nitpick it.

scrolling through simblr makes me wanna play ts4 again, but then i remember that i haven’t touched the game for about a year. so this means i need to redo my mods folder almost completely and i kinda dread doing that. playing vanilla? no fucking way, ain’t doable with all the bugs ea’s blasting out. also i wanna showcase my cute sims but my introverted mind won’t allow me to cus my fear of being judged.

NEVER BUY FREE CC FROM ANYONE!

So... I found this.

I know, it's impossible to prevent something like this to happen when the internet is an open world. And I have prepared myself for things like this. I am not here to call out the seller, I don't know who they are, and I am 100% sure there are more irresponsible people like this online.

I just want to tell everybody, that you SHOULD NEVER buy CC/Mods for any games, that is not posted by the creators. This seller is literally selling FREE CC. Not just mine, but many others too. And I'm talking about thousands of CC. This is from an Indonesia based online marketplace. But I'm sure, that somewhere in your area, there's one like this too. I just want you to be aware, that this is wrong. It's violating not just the creator's T.O.U, but also EA's policy. If you don't want to pay early access--that's totally fine. But this 👆 is beyond stupid.
