Byler kiss in s5

No because I need Mike to kiss Will in season 5 and have a moment of ‘oh, fuck. So this is what it’s supposed to feel like. This is so fucking good.’ and him absolutely devouring Will’s lips, touching and embracing him all over and almost crying over how good it feels.

You know that groan of 'oh, this tastes so good.’ of a character who hasn’t eaten in a long time? That but times x100, like he’s been starving for days. That sound coming from Mike’s lips while he kisses Will, touches him and feels him, savouring him. Them. Finally together. Like he’s discovered something incredible. An incredible feeling that he never wants to stop experiencing, and it makes him so happy and he’s so deep into it, so lost in it.

A moment of 'this feels so good, and so right.’ He’s been not accepting himself for so long, meanwhile who he is was capable of making him feel… That, all this time. It’s healing - and it’s not like he can think of much but Will’s beautiful face anyway.

I need them to have the sweetest hungriest makeout session, I need Mike stumbling and stepping forward while they kiss as he presses his lips against Will’s, I need him stumbling and stamping his hand on a table or a wall to catch himself. Out of breath, Will’s hands in his hair and on his face and shoulders and neck, Mike going crazy over Will touching him and his heart speeding and his cheeks heating. Will squirming as Mike touches him, his back and waist and shoulders.

I need them absolutely devouring each other, whining at how good it feels, so unable to separate their lips that they become breathless and only stop briefly to breathe. Touching each other all over. I NEED IT

Oh I bet it’s for Will’s dreams / visions where he is made to believe he’s the one attacking someone, just like Harry Potter having nightmares where he is the snake.

I discussed this in tags the other day but I really REALLY want it to be that Jonathan is just feeling insecure and Steve is actually not interested in Nancy anymore. That the triangle is all in his, and everyone else but Steve's, minds. It would just be so great if Steve actually is not pretending that he doesn't know what Jon's talking about and that Jon is actually seeing something that isn't there. After all, s5 takes place after a seventeen month time jump. More than enough time for Steve to move on from the few glances Nancy sent his way in s4. (Unless Steve is actually interested in just Jon, or them both, then ignore what I said give me stonathan or ot3 stoncy, I would much prefer that over love triangle melodrama.)

I want the whole race to the top of the tower to have been about simply playing with Jon and showing off in general. Steve was probably just looking for a little win, and a little friendly competition. Our guy Steve likes to preen! He always craved positive attention and tbh he hasn't been getting very much of that lately, apparently. He's getting put down on the regular from a grieving Dustin, his bestie Robin is dating someone so probably is spending less time with him and Jon keeps arguing with him at every turn as well.

these are 2 different people.

fuck vecna. anyone who defends vecna/the mindflayer can actually piss off. dni if you support vecna because i do not want to be associated with you.

but henry and vecna are quite literally different people. if you haven't seen tfs then i totally understand why people are associating them as the same,(they are the same person in a physical aspect, yes) but vecna is what would've happened to will if he hadn't of received the love and care around him (and the exorcism from joyce).

vecna is simply a vessel to the mindflayer, he is not henry and we can see this at the end of the play. henry completely gives in to the mindflayer after patty is "killed", (i've compared it previously to anakin and vader (though in no way am i comparing the severity of both mentioneds actions.)) and even before that when brenner takes henry into his captivity, he is abused and manipulated for his powers which leads to his and the mindflayer's eventual hatred of humanity. (although, the mindflayer has always been malicious and i don't care who says otherwise)

that doesn't mean henry wasnt complacent in some things with help of the mindflayer, he very definitely meant to kill his mother (and maybe his sister but i dont think he would've done this under different circumstance.). henry is a tragic hero, and his hamartia is originally his curiosity (leading to his flaying in nevada), then the fear of losing the ones he loves, like will, which eventually leads to his downfall.

if anyone needs more context, henry was flayed in a nevadan cave when he was 8 (13 in original west end cast) and thats how he got his powers. anything after 1960 is vecna. again, fuck vecna. fuck the mindflayer.

let me try and summarise this:

henry - 60% himself, 40% mindflayer

peter(soteria) - completely himself (or so theorised, tink made a post talking about soteria and the suppression of the mindflayer so id check it out if you wanna learn more)

vecna/peter(no soteria) - 100% mindflayer

i am glad however that st is showing topics like this, im excited but also terrified for s5.

Do you believe the stuff about Will living with the Wheelers? I find myself unconvinced, like Noah could be at that set for any of the dozens of scenes that take place there

I wasn't into the idea of Will staying with the Wheelers at first cause it felt too fanfic-y but based on what we've seen from bts material so far it does seem like the most likely option, especially given that the Byers no longer have a residence in Hawkins and the og Byers fam don't have an incentive to hide from the gov with Hop and El so I don't think we will see them all living together. Back to season 2 dynamics indeed.

And tbh I do kinda like the idea now of Will staying in Mike's basement. It impounds Will's repressed feelings. Mike's basement also being the place where Mike hid El in s1 also seems symbolic.

one of the things i’m most excited for in s5 is the potential for rlly crazy and terrifying religious imagery. like yes give us possessed Will Byers Judas Iscariot realness. give us ptolemaea by ethel cain levels of mind torment. give us possessed Will tweaking out when he walks into the church. give us kiss of Judas imagery before he betrays Mike like he did during his s2 possession. give us “god loves you but not enough to save you.” give us religious guilt/trauma from Mike. I want it ALL. The scarier the better!!!
