was tagged by @beedomeemaw to share three songs that i have in heavy rotation right now. well uh. I'm gonna break that and do two sets of three. which is already really really difficult. these are gonna be from youtube bc i have premium and i get my moneys worth.

first category is from the soundtrack. you know the one. (person of interest)

1. No Wow by The Kills

this song is great. the kills are great. this show made me love the kills. i listen to a lot of their songs in my mixes. this song makes me get out of bed in the morning fr. lets fucking go. [used in 5x01 in the very first scene].

2. I'd Love To Change The World by Jetta

so powerful. i can feel the darkness, the push to find a way to save everything from the shadows. they really used it in the perfect spot, for real. i often pair it with honorable mention The Day The World Went Away by NIN - they really hit the two sides of dark finch. the wick and the spark. i will go crazy abt him. [used in the final scene of 4x01 Panopticon].

3. Down Boy by Yeah Yeah Yeahs

it was really hard to pick a third place, but i love elias and anthony so much, and there was a time where i was listening to this song on fucking loop in my kitchen. when im driving with the windows down i like cranking it up right before the scream. slay. [used in 1x16 Risk at the end of the episode].

1. Twilight by Bôa

if you've read my 6x01 fic this needs little explanation. this was the first song that really spoke to me for a specific scene. ive probably listened to it over a hundred times by now. absolute perfection. most recent comment on that chapter is just quote-screaming extremely relevant lyrics and frankly i felt so seen by that lmao (shout out @science-demon <3)

2. Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes

is it cliche? yes but listen. listen. imagine this but it slowly turns into the glitch mob remix. imagine.

3. How You Like Me Now by The Heavy

i debated on whether to share this one or one of the kills ones with yall but this one has been in rotation from the start, when the playlist was rly short and i was just experimenting. i realized this is perfect for a very specific scene. one im so excited for, and i know at least one of you is too. its going to be a long time coming but it will be so worth it. cathartic, if you will. i like listening to it and grinning my head off.

anyways this became super fucking long lmao oops. i am very passionate abt music when made for or used with media (i Will write an essay abt [redacted great ace attorney song] someday is2g). uhhh im not used to tagging people but if you have hot music takes or just wanna have fun listing songs feel free.

Ground Rules

Bemused by Miss Hound's flirting, Cat Noir decides to humor her just a little, and asks what kind of ground rules she has in mind.

Miss Hound raised her hands in front of her in an X. "No kissing! Only smoochin'"

Cat Noir tilted his head in confusion. "What's the difference?"

She bounced once on her toes, then darted up. Her lips touched his briefly but firmly before she slipped back, "That's a smooch!"

While he was momentarily stunned she reached up, her motions fluid this time. Her fingers caught the edges of his collar and drew him down. No bouncing this time, she raised herself daintily on her toes. Her hands let go of his collar, only to cup his face. Their lips met, a gentle pressure that lingered. Time seemed to stop, sounded faded, and Cat Noir's mind blanked except for the most immediate of sensations. The brush of her bob against his cheek. The light sound of exhale through her nose. One of her thumbs brushing his chin. She stepped back, the world swarmed back into focus.

Miss Hound touched the tip of her tongue to her top lip then giggled, "And that's kissing."

What would have been cool in S6 is if Andrea got onto a descent into evil path like Lena had done, but whereas Lena managed to come back from that, Andrea chooses to lean into it.

Like, if they had played up Andrea's hunger for ratings and clicks or whatever, and had done a whole bunch more shady shit earlier in the season, it would have set the stage for Lena to notice and come to her like "what you're doing is wrong, and I understand why you feel you need to do these things, there are better ways."

And then when Andrea finds Lex's poems, and had them typed up under William's name, she pauses before she presses the publish button. We see her think about what Lena said, see her weigh the consequences of going through with the unethical shit versus not.

Maybe she reaches for the delete button, and the audience thinks she'll make the right decision. But then we see her resolve harden and she presses publish instead.

After William dies, instead of Andrea going to the Tower in a fit of guilt, Lena is the one who goes to her at CatCo, and this time her compassion is nowhere to be found. She's angry.

"I warned you what would happen if you continued down this path," Lena seethes. "I told you--"

"William understood the risks of embedding himself with the Superfriends," Andrea cuts in. "It's no different than if he'd been killed while reporting in a war zone."

Lena's eyes flash dangerously. "No, it's not! Both of those choices would have been his choice. But you published that article under his name without his knowledge or consent. You put him in Lex's crosshairs! His blood is on your hands."

Andrea doesn't respond, but she doesn't quail either. She has no remorse, no guilt or sense of culpability. Lena draws back then, searching her friend's features.

"I would have been willing to help you, Andrea. But I can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped." She shakes her head, disgusted. "I don't know who you are anymore."

"Says the woman who tried to mind control the planet," Andrea retorts.

Lena's jaw tightens. "What I did was wrong. I will spend the rest of my life making amends for it. I only hope you have enough heart left to do the same."

With that, she turns on her heel and marches out of the office, leaving Andrea alone at the top of her dark tower.
