When I saw the episode title being "Taxi Driver" I thought it was gonna be a case of a supernatural being murdering people cosplaying as a taxi driver but not even close. This one's a doozy for sure.
The Second Trial required Sam to release an innocent soul from hell to heaven & coincidentally that's Bobby (we hate you Crowley boo👎) who was wrongly trapped in hell because Crowley was being petty as The King of Hell would I guess. And then in order to get to hell, they needed a rogue reaper (I do not know if I heard that correctly I'm watching this show without subs so cmiiw) who cosplays as a taxi driver? I do not know about this one either. Does he even drive that taxi to make a living or is it like a niche interest thing? Anyway, not the point.
What else let's see... Oh yeah, in order to get to hell, said reaper will only take Sam to purgatory of all places because - say it with me - it's hell-adjacent. Bobby's punishment in hell is black-eyed fake Sams & Deans. To add more to the cake, Benny sacrificed his life to be sent back to purgatory because he had nothing good going on for him on earth & Crowley killed the reaper so Dean had no other options but to use Benny (Benny was willing just to be clear. Great character honestly).
Man this sucks. I need a few hours to process this episode.
