That kid looks exactly like them. The third descender is from space so they definitely can be related.

According to lore the third descender choice to go and ask the primordial for permission to marry the tsaritsa knowing that if he didn’t she probably would. He basically sacrificed himself

Thinking on that 7 x 7 thing again

There are seven gnosises (gnosies? Idk) which are the seven fragments of the third descender.

Dottore split his soul into seven (one main and six segments, as far as we know for sure). The Omega segment split his final seventh into two fourteenths, which were reunited in irmansul, but he commented that a soul could be no further reduced.

Dottore was experimenting with removing himself from the control of "fate", i.e. creating/ becoming a "false descender".

I'm not massively sure what to do with this information, but I do have two conclusions and one question.

If a 14th is the smallest you can make a soul and still have it able to act as an individual, then it's possible that a gnosis can be split in two and still function.

If Omega is a seventh of a soul and the pyro gnosis is also a seventh of a soul, there is a possibility that one surviving being burnt alongside Irmansul that the other could as well. Inversely, both could be completely destroyed which might put a spanner in the works for the Tsaritsa. However, the gnosis being that of a descender and therefor unaffected by Irmansul does give it a better chance of survival than Omega.

If a 14th can function independantly, then why put both pieces into Irmansul? (I should rewatch various cutscenes to try and wrap my head around this, but watching them gives me a stomach ache).

I wonder if it's a power thing, but he was such a hassle in Nod-Krai that a 14th is clearly not to be sniffed at. Maybe it's more that he didn't want to be more than one person again, and the "backup" copy in the bank was there just in case the plan of entering irmansul through death didn't work.

Okay wait, also, if the gnoseis are each a 7th of the Thrid Descender, does that not mean that he could be revived with just one gnosis?

Since these thoughts are already quite disjointed, I'll add one more thing, which is just personal opinion- Dottore (that is, the Omega segment) died on his own terms. So if he does come back, he won't be the one pulling the strings. I hope it's the Tsaritsa. I hope she's so fucking ✨normal✨ about her barbies.

(I tried writing an essay proving this, but the weeds are THICK. I can't prove SHIT.)

since the tsaritsa has something going on with ronova (shade of death) and rhinedottir (sinner associated with life + fused with shade of life), would it be too "fixated on the descender childe theory" of me to say that my theory is that she's trying to revive saarelainen/historical ajax/the 3rd descender

Ok my theory about Tsaritson potential dad and fate is that he is the child of the Tsaritsa and the third descender! A lot of people seem to assume that he died or froze 500 years ago but that isn't necessarily true.

Spoilers for 6.6 but Dottore believes that the Third was erased for violating one rule and in the video, you see them being erased by Renova but also, the side the kid is on then gets erased. That plus the fact that this seems to be before Snezhnaya completely froze makes me think that the photo was taken closer to 3000 years ago and that the Tsaritsa memory of her lover and son was erased and she got them back 500 years ago when she became an archon and got the gnosis.

This makes her personality change that Venti talks about make sense plus explains why she lost all love

The thing that drives me nuts about genshin lore is that under a purely mythological standpoint, the third descender and Nibelung should be the same person. Especially considering the Harbingers being named after Carnival masks.

Nibelung is Saturn. Period. I'm 100% sure of this. Carnival is a mix of Saturnalia and Navigium Isidis.

Saturnalia is about the cyclical rebirth of the original king Saturn at the end->start of a cycle. And the Tsaritsa wants to kickstart a new cycle.

Navigium Isidis on the other hand is about putting back together the dismembered body of Osiris to revive him. Like you know, Saarelainen. Osiris is also a god of order that can be associated with Saturn.

Mini theory on why the belyi tsar decided to get the third descender killed

I think he was trying to protect her in some weird sort of sense of the way

I mean the Tsaritsa is the only family he has left and seeing that he killed is own brother he feels like it’s up to him to protect her

It was also around for hyperborea meaning he witnessed his homeland be destroyed be the the existence of a descender and angel being punished due to loving someone not from tevyt

We know that he doesn’t like celestia however he didn’t have a weapon and never found a way to possible rebel against them so why pick a fight he knows he will lose

There’s no way that he can kill the third descender, his daughter would definitely find out and he would lose the last memeber of his family but also he wouldn’t be able to defeat the third descender (oddly enough I’m thinking about him putting saarelainen into a series of trails ment to kill him but he ends up fine)

So in order to protect his daughter from that fate he sent the third decanter to die.

Am I saying that this was okay, NO. But I’m saying this might be why he did it

I hope the Tsaritsa dynamic with every harbinger especially Childe is very strange and mentally ill

For her and Childe I want them to be like the famous painting “Ivan the terrible and his son”

Maternal in the way that she’s the only one able to fuck him up in a way only a mother could. I personally thinks she cares for Childe the most because he’s the only one of her people on the team, her relationship Childe reflects her relationship with her country. On the surface she has no love for them but in her own twisted way deep down she cares for them deeply. Childe is desperate for maternal affection so he keeps coming back.

The most dysfunctional found family you have ever seen.

Arlechinno and Tsaritsa have murderous respect

The moment the other slips up or shows weakness they are going to kill the other, because they know that’s what the other would want. They are cut throat because they know they have to be in order to survive. Because of this shared value they respect each other.

I guess it’s maternal, but in the context that arlechinno maternal relationships always involve her, trying to murder her mother who she is incredibly distant with and the mother trying to murder her back.

Columbina and Tsaritsa both are in some way using the power.

Tsaritsa uses Columbina physically for her own gain, to fulfill a wish.Columbina using the Tsaritsa to avoid having to confront the fact she can no longer help the people who worship her. Honesty they are suing the other to fill a void they are unable to fulfill themselves. I feel like Columbina wants to have this close family relationship but the Tsaritsa doesn’t.

Seeing that Tsaritsa let her go and Columbina not that angry at her, they do care for each other

Capitano and Tsaritsa see each other a means to a end.

Capitano uses the power the Tsaritsa gives him to seek out his own peace. The Tsaritsa uses capitano power to seek out her own version of peace. They both know they’re using each other and they allow each other to do that because they thank each other’s intent is noble

It’s like a executioner and queen having respectful nod at each other

This is the same with scaramouche but they know each other doesn’t have a good reason for this but they let each other do it anyways

Signora and Tsaritsa are shared grief

People leave the theory that Tsaritsa has a relationship with the third descender , they are very similar. They both act out of grief for the one they’ve lost and blame the heavens for not doing anything.

I feel that they understand each other on a deep emotional level but they aren’t friends

We don’t know much about the other harbinger so I will update the when we do learn more
