this 100 word drabble is the feather chapter from my @sadrien-week ficlet Like Salt Water to a Blister, posted yesterday to ao3, but I like it so much, I decided to share it here on its own.

It was strange, to feel so proud of something so entirely morbid. But every bit of her was.

Her heart dropped to her stomach when it happened. When she saw her precious baby, lying on the ground, tears streaming down his red, ruddy cheeks. His tiny leg— swollen, even beyond the normal baby fat. It was horrible.

But at the same time, it was magnificent.

Instead of floating like a feather, he fell— to Earth. Solid, and human, and breakable. Real.

“Hush, you’re okay,” Emilie whispered as she brought Adrien close, kissing golden hair. “My love, stop crying.”

He did.

... I guess I have a talent to hurt my favs and even tho Adrien isn't in the #1 spot... he is still one of my favs from this franchise, and I guess in the "You are going through so much kid"-

So when I saw the "sadrien week" thing... the voices won-

I did this doodle because I actually had a different idea but idk if that.. counts- but umm- here comes a silly sketch comic for the "Animotif timeline". (An alternate timeline I'm working on)

TL;DR: Queen Bee's intrusive thoughts won.

“I'm sorry,” he breathes, and Berlioz tries to picture what his friend's civilian life looks like: who taught him to apologise so much? “It's not your fault I keep letting you die.”

“I'm not dead.”

“You were, just one loop ago… you will be again, unless something changes.” He pauses, then lets the words out. “I'm going to give up my Miraculous.”
