Is Ashland Hard Seltzer, Saint Archer 2.0? I saw this drink being promoted by Koston and Malto (Koston was for sure - can’t remember about Malto tho - one of Saint Archer’s original action sports ambassadors) and couldn’t help but think so. Ashland is being promoted as independent, craft, and organic. If they truly are, just wait until they are sold to a big beer company in the coming years after their release - that is exactly what happened with Saint Archer. There is a chance that Ashland is already just an offshoot of Saint Archer and they are just trying to capitalize on the marketability of skateboardibg as well as the trendy nature of the the current hard seltzer market. Business is business, I guess.

Saint Archer Hazy IPA (Picked up at Trader Joe’s). A 3 of 4. Smells of orange citrus and some fainter tropical notes. The body is similar in flavor, with some juicy fruit and a relatively creamy body and some grain sweetness. Pretty easy-drinking and the bitterness is a little muted. A decent offering, particularly at the price.

Citra 7 IPA / Saint Archer Brewing (San Diego, CA) アイダホ7という新種のホップとシトラホップを使ったIPA。めっちゃくちゃジューシーな柑橘アロマがバッシバシ効いていてテイストもとにかくジューシー。苦味はやや強めで少々ボディは重いが、フィニッシュのキレがかなり感じられ爽快感はある。抜群にうまい！というわけではないがかなりいける。

Saint Archer’s Sonoma Pride Double IPA on tap at Eureka at SDSU. A 4 of 4. A really great bright Double IPA. A moderately creamy body that carries an aggressive and citrusy bitterness, and finishes firm and a bit more resinous. Quite well-balanced and really enjoyable.

Saint Archer IPA (Picked up at Ralph’s). A 3 of 4. Nicely balanced with a relatively classic floral and citrus hop profile and some chewy, bready sweetness in the body. Medium bitterness throughout and finishes with some resin. A good, relatively standard, IPA.
