We've taken to doing salad meal prep - making a base salad, then customizing through the week. Getting vegetables in has never been easier!
He's a first responder.
Fourteen hour shifts, five hours of rest if he's lucky, ten days in a row. No supplies. People still acting like everything is fine. A family with two preschoolers, all four of whom have autoimmune diseases.
There's a sense of desperation in my heart. I feel like I can't do enough. Every morning I prepare the water for his shower, his breakfast, and while he sinks into a fitful rest I sanitize his equipment, wash his uniform, prepare his meals, set out a fresh set, over and over and over again. Have everything ready so he can muster up the energy to eat, get dressed, and walk out the door to do it all over again.
He's exhusted. I'm lost.
Come home safe.
The upside of being lazy is I'll eat whatever food in my fridge is ready to go. Just need to make sure it's healthy.
