Early Bettie #22
officially graduated gang (star trek time)
When Cynthia Chase and Lisa Siegman were named Princeton University’s valedictorian and salutatorian, the first time either honor had been earned by a woman and only six years after Princeton admitted women as undergraduates, it made national headlines. They graduated on June 9, 1975.
Siegman used her traditional Latin salutatory to indicate the significance of the moment. Graduates are given a guide to follow during the speech so they know when to laugh, applaud, etc. Hers called specifically for shouts from male graduates (”Pueri, hic vociferate”) when she noted that over the previous 229 years, a male student ("discipuli") had given the speech, followed by shouts from female graduates (”Puellae, hic vociferate") when she said that this had finally become the duty of a female student ("discipulae").

I can't believe I'm graduating
Seriously, 4 years went by so fast. I've been through so much. In a few more days I will be done with high school and will graduate salutatorian with an advanced honors diploma. I'm done with classes, exams, AP, tests, cheer, French club, robotics, tennis. I've been in this school since preschool. I was only 3 years old. Now I'm a 12th grader graduating. Freshman year was awkward for me but each year I got use to the demands of high school. I will miss all of my friends. Many of them I've known since preschool. I will miss my teachers and the staff. It's so bittersweet for me. I will not miss waking up early in the morning or craming for tests but I will miss all of the people I grew up with. I can't wait to have kids hopefully so they can continue the tradition. My mom and grandma went to this school. I went to this school along with my siblings. Now my future kids will go to this school too. I'll miss this school so much.
I know God has a plan for my life. I am not expecting college to be easy. I'm actually scared to go to college and leave home. However, I want to experience something else. I want to leave my small town and do whatever it is God is calling me to do. It sucks I was denied from my dream school but maybe that is for the best. Maybe God is leading me elsewhere.
Pic to show off. Sorry for the blurr but you know this is Tumblr. Senior picture. Class of 2019 & Class of 2023

Anyways to I get up to the microphone and start the whole "4 scores and 7 years ago" and I shit you not I was so so tempted to say "my father built this nation on the bones of my enemy's" so yeah, Lotor nearly got me killed
Ok I'm not trying to brag but I need someone to be proud of me
