This is my absolute favourite headcanon from all of warriors to the point where sometimes I forget it isnt actually canon.

But man. I love trans redtail and I love gay runningwind and I love the deep angst that comes from the idea of Sandpaw losing both of them and being so silent about it- maybe it hurt too much. maybe thats why her personality is so fierece, steely. Maybe she's lost more than most have.
