Omg I’m LIVING for your tags on that Anya edit. The way the writers woobified spike in season 7 was disgusting. It’s such a contrast to how Angel was treated in season 3, where even though angelus didn’t have a soul the other characters were allowed to be wary of him and he wasn’t granted instant forgiveness and he carried immense guilt for what he did. Meanwhile in season 7 Robin wood is vilified (in a really racist way btw) for wanting spike dead for KILLING HIS MOTHER and all the characters are completely fine with a rapist hanging out with a bunch of teenage girls. I hate it so much. Sorry for ranting in your inbox but I hate spike and Spuffy so much.
