..is currently moving in to live rent free in my mind so here's a thing I wrote, it's set in the SAPC AU but could be in canon or by itself too(aka short scenes of what might be in SAPC later) (note: I have no idea how Emma-May actually looks like, but I imagine her as someone tall with black hair and kinda pear/hourglass shape but s o f t) ((and as always, no editing is done)) OKAY LET'S GET TO IT
The tall woman with the black hair, Fidds' wife Emma-May, sat down on the pouch next to Stanford, looking out at the forest together with the man. Inside, she could hear the excited tones from her husband and the other man, Stanley, talking. She thought they were talking about some robotics things but had been somewhat surprised when Stanford hadn't been there. Emma-May had only known the two twins for just over a week, but her husband had talked so much about his friend from college to just suddenly stop that she almost felt like she already knew him.
"So," she began, glancing over at the man, "You're the guy who stole my husband's heart and then broke it?"
Stanford was silent for several seconds before quietly speaking up too, "He told you?"
"He tells me everything, he told me already when we began dating, even after we married. He missed you a lot, yknow."
"I apologise for ever harming him."
"It's not me you should apologise to, Stanford Pines." She rose up from the ground, reaching out a hand for him with a gentle smile, "So why won't you tell him instead?"
Looking up at her, hesitating, he took her hand and allowed her to pull him back inside the house, in his mind trying to figure out a good enough apology instead of just 'im sorry, you were right.'
It had been hard having Fidds around again, the feelings Ford had buried resurfacing for each glance at the other man, at his ex from college in more ways than one. But still, he tried.
"He still loves you, you know," Emma-May told him one night, "I have seen how you look at him, it's full of the same love I have for him, isn't it?"
"I'm sorry," Ford had said quietly as he had so many other times since Fidds and Stan had returned to his life, "I didn't mean to-"
"Nuh-uh, no apologies tonight. It's okay. We both have talked about it a lot, I know how he feels and I have a good guess about you, if you feel anything like I do for him."
"If you both still want each other, I'm okay with it as long as I get to stay too," she paused for a second, "He should be the one to tell you, but we're both polyamorous. I don't mind, I've known for quite a while. Talk to him, will you?"
"I- I don't know- okay. Thank you."
Emma-May nodded and walked over to the door before turning back around, "Goodnight, Stanford."

It took quite a while, several long months, and lots of talking with both Fidds and Emma-May, but one summer day, Ford sat them both down in his living room and told them yes, he'd love to join their relationship, to be together with Fidds again and at least be good friends with Emma-May. There was a lot of hugs, kisses and tears that day, all three of them finally feeling whole and happy.
