PREVIOUS CHAPTER
"...So what you're telling me- is that you've seen this, and me, in a dream?" Sara softly asks in wonder by the kitchen table in her house, her eyes glued on your standing figure in front of her, which she had done from since you pounced on her.
Which you felt incredibly awkward of, but well...it was to be expected.
Scratching the back of your neck you hesitantly nod,
"Yep, that's it." you then answer while your eyes track her reactions.
First is disbelief, before it morphs into realisation and then finally wonder- but you think it's much more than that.
For she's looking at you like you have all of the answers in the world- like you're her salvation.
Fuck. You thought, for this was a mess- but you had no choice but to explain it in such a way, because hello who would believe you if you said that you watched everything, and them all in a goddamned show.
Like who's to say that they wouldn't burn you at the stake- or better yet, put you in their own version of it: the box.
Like hell naw, HELL NAW.
So here you were, pulling an Elgin, seeing as that seemed the safer option.
But maybe it might be a mistake...
"Will you save my brother then?" Sara after a moment then softly, yet urgently asked of you, her eyes full of hope, and begging you to say yes.
"I am going to try." You then answered, even when you didn't know if you could...
But why else where you here, if it was real, but then again- why you?
For even while you watched the show from beginning to end, had read all of the fan speculations- you still didn't know shit, for the show brought more questions than answers, but you have to try.
To try and get the people in FROMVILLE safe, even if it seemed impossible, you thought before you wavered at Sara's gaze- you would try nonetheless.
Which was a big responsibility, for you didn't even have the time to fully reconcile with it all- that you effing transmigrated into FROM, and with Mo' at that- that poor man...
We are all fucked, especially if their hopes of being saved- of going home, relied entirely on you.
Oh fu-
But before that thought could fully form, Sara launched herself at you, making you freeze like a deer on the spot for you did not expect it in the slightest.
But you then gingerly patted her on her back,
"Thank you so much!" The girl continously cried into your shoulder. And that's how her brother found the both of you.
And of course she then immediately told him that you'd save them, that they could all go home now.
Double fuck.
You decided to go back to the clinic after getting Sara to promise you once again to not listen nor do anything the voice, whatever sound it would take- or form asked of her to do, and most especially towards her fellow humans.
That, and you instructed Nathan, who was very thankful for your help after learning of what you have done, to keep an eye on her, with him agreeing and once more gratefully thanking you for helping his sister.
All with that same gaze his sister had- the one filled with hope, and wonder like you were some prophet come to save them all-
Do not think about that, do not! You then hurriedly thought like a broken record before your feet finally found the entrance to the clinic, with you nodding in awkward greeting to the residents of the town during walk towards it.
You felt their stares boring into your back, before you finally pushed yourself away from view inside the clinic, against a wall.
Breathing in and out, you tried to keep the panic you were holding in bay- for now wasn't the time!
"Ah good, there you are, I was looking for you!" Mary's voice then sounded beside you making you almost jump in fright at the suddenness of it, for you weren't expecting it in the slightest, especially when she stood right next to you- like some - ghost. Yes ghost.
She was carrying a bowl of water with a towel on the side, turning towards her face, you were then met with a kind smile, which you grudgingly mirrored, however hollow it might have looked, for that was how you felt at the moment.
Utterly hollow.
"Well come with me while I find you a comfortable bed to sleep in for the night that's soon to come, I put your medicine and a glass of water there for you, and don't worry about your friend, he's gotten his own as well, but can I say- it's really remarkable how understanding you are about the situation, really, most would be acting entirely different, which Mohammed, or well Mo' as he asked to be called, acted like. But well it is understanable of course, very tragic, not seeing one's family anymore, especially as a parent...but well, let's not dwell on that.." She then hurriedly told you after it all, which you felt even shittier about, seeing as you wouldn't see your family either, but who was in this town if they weren't brought here to begin with- which you were thankful for, that your family was saved from ever entering this horror.
"And here we are, it's not much but I hope you'll be comfortable for the time being, do let me know if you need anything, alright?" She then kindly told you with warm eyes, which you couldn't look to long into before yours turned to the ground with a nod.
"Thank you, Mary."
"Oh well, it's nothing. Just doing my job, really, especially with Kristi being away for the moment- with the Matthews, that family from the van that came with you." She then supplied which you nodded to in remembrance.
Especially at the fact that you knew about what had happened or was going to happen in clear detail in fact, especially when you glimpsed at the way the sky was now truly darkening from the opened piece of the window that the curtain hadn't covered.
Sitting on your bed, you heard it- the footsteps, unhurried, yet very loud in the quiet of the night.
It's presence which you were expecting, for it wouldn't be a real welcome of FROMVILLE if you haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting it's very own creatures of the night.
You heard knocks on the window then, before a familiar voice sounded from behind the curtains.
"Hello, "The familiar voice of the Cowboy then called out. But you were frozen in place at what he then uttered- he knew your name.
Closing your eyes to calm yourself for a moment you then nodded and tried to appear unaffected when you stood up from the bed and made your way to the closed curtains, trying to hide how much you truly were feeling like such a fawn right now.
You got this. You then firmly thought to yourself, especially when you needed answers. For you didn't remember him going to the clinic in the first episode. Especially when the whole massacre of it's inhabitants have happened...
Finally opening the curtain, you were met with the Cowboy's surprised smile, before he slightly lifted his hat at you in greeting, which you stared at for a long second- before your eyes hardened on his amused ones.
"It's quite the mighty surprise to see you grace me with your presence, seeing as your fellow townfolk like to ignore us. Especially during the first night." He told you before his smile widened, while his gaze was tilted on you.
"But you are quite a surprise, aren't you," He then drawled with knowing eyes, which your heart skipped at before your frown deepened at him.
"What do you mean, and how do you know my name?" You then finally spoke, making him grin at that, at the fact he seemingly knew that he startled you, even when you were trying to seem unaffected.
"Of course we know your name, we know all of your names. But you especially when you made quite the entrance- and more," He then let you know with an amused expression, before a smirk painted his lips.
"You owe us a treat, for we were promised one this fine night, especially here at this clinic. And I- am so very hungry." He then silkily uttered, while his eyes glinted on yours, which made you freeze to your core.
