Po met world famous actor Sasom, did a preliminary google of his name, pretended to care about his career for 0.5 seconds, and then went straight to looking up Sasom swimsuit pics

So far his main character trait is thirsty, and I respect that

My only gripe with Peach Lover so far: 1. Why was Sasom's voice distorted when he talked to Po in person, that literally made me die laughing. 2. The AI...?? For no reason ???? 3. If you're going to at least use AI (ew) at least make the drawings of Asian characters, why were they white...? Don't go into this with many expectations, and you'll be fine. This will be a fun trash watch + both actors are absolutely gorgeous.

It was an interesting first episode. There are a lot of love scenes and as much as it seems to be an important part of the story, I like that this is also about two people who were never free to be who they were and they met with the same desire: it's not about lust or control or the thrill of being filmed, but it's about being free to be who you want to be.

On one side, we have Po who is an novel cover artist. He is gay, but he never had the chance before to truly be out because he always felt that his desire for men was wrong. He grew up in a dysfunctional family and it seems like he has a complicated relationship with his father. Since he had to hide his desire and sexuality, he started to feel his wasn't worth it. During the episode he seems surprised that someone could find him "good-looking". What draws him to become the new Peach is the desire to be seen, to be loved and to be accepted for whom he is. The rest is just the cherry on top.

On the other side, we have Sasom. A very famous celebrity who has another persona online called Peach Lover. He has been pushed to be a celebrity since he was a child and he always felt like this was some kinds of prison. He was never asked about what he wanted or to choose anything. His other persona, is a way of taking control back of his own life, but it's mostly about having a taste of freedom. When he is Peach Lover, he chooses to be seen on his own accord, the partner with whom he can share this part of him and the time and way he has to work.

These two characters grew up without feeling safe (safe to be who they want to be or safe to choose for themselves). It seems this story is them creating a safe space for themselves where they can love who they want and do what they want. Things that they can't truly enjoy outside their Peach and Peach Lover personas. Their relationship may start in a unique way. However, I guess this is the journey of Po and Sasom to feel more confident, safer and to have the chance to heal from the emotional wounds they got when they were young.
