Naruto stood before your desk, it was far too early in the morning for this. “Y/n, please. Just let us take Sasuke along, he needs to get out of the village.” You had been trying not to give into him. You had known the Uchiha’s reputation and wanted to keep yourself as far away from it as possible.
“Naruto, it’s not a good idea.” You tried to tell him without blurting out that you just didn’t trust the man. “He’s never done anything like the ANBU before, I don’t want to risk it. We don’t have enough time to train him.”
“Stop with that nonsense.” Naruto was growing annoyed. “You know Sasuke, Y/n. You’ve known him since we were six years old. It’s been thirteen years since then. You went to the academy with us all those years ago, you saw what he can do.”
Naruto cut you off. “If you’re going to say you don’t trust him then let him be under your direct supervision. At least if he’s under your leadership then he can’t mess up.” He sighed. “He’s changed Y/n. Just give him a chance.”
You took a deep breath before finally giving it. “Tell him that he’s going to be under me, and you’ll be going with me as well. But if he screws up Naruto, it’s on you. You can take it up with Danzo if something goes wrong.”
Naruto smiled that big smile he wore so well. “I knew you’d come around. I promise he won’t let you down.”
You grabbed a pen from your desk and looked down at your paperwork again. “We’ll see about that, Naruto.”
And Naruto was right. That day, Sasuke hadn’t let you down, he had been more productive than even some of your ANBU members had been. And since that day you had never been closer to Sasuke. After a month of spending time together constantly the two of you had decided to start seeing each other.
Nearly six months later you were still together, happier than you had ever imagined that you could be.
As the sun peeked through the curtains of Sasuke’s apartment you slowly opened your eyes, almost blinded by the sheer brightness of it. You stirred in Sasuke’s arms and he grunted softly at you as his own eyes opened. “Good morning.” The deep, raspy voice that he had in the morning had your heart fluttering.
You rolled to your side and placed a soft kiss to his cheek. “Good morning Sasuke.”
He rolled over to face you and placed his hand on your cheek, pushing the stray hairs behind your ear. His lips lightly touched yours as he spoke against them. “How about a little morning delight?”

Naruto shut the door and you sighed loudly. “I can’t believe that just happened.”
“I guess our secret is out now.” Sasuke chuckled some. “I’ll go and calm him down some.” He softly kissed you before hopping from the bed and grabbing his sweatpants.
You listened to Naruto’s annoyed shouting for a half and hour before Sasuke finally came back into the room. Naruto had been offended that he hadn’t known, that Sasuke hadn’t told you anything. But as Sasuke crawled back onto the bed and wrapped you into his arms you figured that you noticed that he seemed more calm than usual. “Sasuke?”
Sasuke looked over at you. “Yea?”
“Why do you seem so happy?” You snickered.
“I’m just glad that we finally got that off our chest. I’m glad someone finally knows. But since it’s Naruto you know it’s a matter of time before the entire village knows about it.”
You placed a soft kiss to your cheek. “And that’s fine by me. I love you, Sasuke Uchiha.”
He was beaming as he placed his hand on your waist. “I love you, too.”
