i swear I posted these. did i not????? anyways these are two months old but I still like them. since i SOMEHOW never posted these I'll just post this sketchbook batch of stuff from different times but I think all of them are okay enough to post.

The episode looked stunning, was actually really funny in places. Stellar performances all round. I think the twist is phenomenally executed. I love the little misdirect with the heavy Satan's Pit vibes.

Okay wait wait but parallel between Rose as Bad Wolf saying 'I want you safe, my Doctor. Protected from the false god' and Ten's speech to the Beast about false gods and believing in her. She's still protecting him from false gods!! But she's also the only deity he believes in!!!!

I cannot stress enough how much I love Rose Tyler's makeup routine in the second series. I've been doing my makeup like that ever since I saw "The Idiot's Lantern" and "The Impossible Planet/Satan's Pit" and I feel so happy. Drives my relatives and friends crazy, though, but oh well. My life, my face, my makeup rules.

Thinking about Rose's endless compassion. How she can't bare the thought of leaving a woman who looks like her mother to die, how quickly she latches on to Pete as her would-have-been father, how even after everything Cassandra's done she asks the Doctor to help her TWICE, how she can't bare the dalek's suffering inadvertently reviving it and even after its killed a base full of people still can't bring herself to accept it's execution, how she tries to save Toby from his crewmates, how even when she knows it's the only way and it wouldn't be permanent, struggles with the idea of Donna dying I just--

Like in a lot of these cases she barely knows the person she's being compassionate towards and could even be considered foolish in some cases. Not even just in the case of the dalek but with Toby too and Adam, if she hadn't sympathised with him so much their lives wouldn't have been in danger on Satellite 5. She's compassionate almost to a fault
