Classic Steak Diane is a timeless dish featuring tender beef steaks smothered in a rich and flavorful sauce. This dish is perfect for a special occasion or whenever you're craving a luxurious and indulgent meal.
Ingredients: 4 beef tenderloin steaks about 6 ounces each. Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter. 2 shallots, minced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/4 cup brandy. 1/4 cup beef broth. 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. 1/4 cup heavy cream. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish.
Instructions: On both sides, season the steaks with salt and pepper. Warm the olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat. Put the steaks in the pan and cook them for three to four minutes on each side for medium-rare or until they're done the way you like them. Place the steaks on a plate and cover them with foil to keep them warm. Set the pan back on medium heat and melt the butter in it. To make the shallots and garlic soft, add them and cook for about two minutes. Carefully pour the brandy into the pan, and then use a long match or lighter to light it. Add the beef broth, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce after the flames go out. Let the sauce reduce a little for two to three minutes. Add the heavy cream and stir it in. Cook for one to two more minutes. Put the steaks back in the pan and turn them over to coat them in the sauce. For about one more minute, cook until everything is hot. Add the sauce to the steaks while they are still hot and top them with chopped parsley.
