12. "Why is it that you wanted to come to the beach in the winter?" (Fuyu no kamome)
“There’s no way I’ll tell you, you’ll laugh !” Reira pouted. The young man glanced at her, a smirk on his lips. “Then don’t prevent me from having a little of fun”.
Taking a high-pitched tone she finally let out after some suspense “Maybe I have a broken heart ?” She looked at him through her cat eyes but only get a glare back.
Even though it was just the truth. Her heart wasn’t romantically broke or anything, she would first have to meet someone for such a thing to happen. But she felt so fragile at that moment as if she was made of glass. She could break appart at any moment. Her heart felt tight just to think about it and her throat hurt from keeping her scream deep inside. Girls company just wouldn’t have felt the same because she was a strong figure among her group of friend so it was hard to show her true feelings. But Keigo wasn’t looking at her with judging eyes, he was just here and he has answered to her stupid text.
She took of her shoes and raised her skirt up to her knees, letting her feet sink into the cold sand as she walked toward the sea. She let out a small cry when the waves touch her toes. Colder than expected. After getting use to the temperature, she start moving further.
Keigo caught her arm. From surprise she almost let down her skirt. “I won’t let you throw yourself in the water !” He said playfully. She glared at him “Do you want me to drown you ?” He let her arm down. “As you want, stupid ! Don’t expect me to save you it’s way too cold !” She laugh at his words. “It’s okay I just dip my calf and I come back. Come with me you chicken !” He shook his head firmly “I better be an healthy chicken than a cold dead chick !”. She smirk. “Don’t worry, stupids never catch cold.”
After some minutes she get back to the beach. “I feel all better now ! Thank you !” She smiled brightly, meaning it. Dipping her feet in the cold water hadn’t resolved any of her matters but it has cleared her head a little. He raised a brow. “I still don’t know why you drag me here” she smiled “Don’t worry now I’m treating you to a warm meal !”. “Weirdo”.
