Let's say Qifrey Coco and the others manages to SOMEHOW get Scamander!reader's trust to the point where they are allowed into the suitcase and get to meet the creatures that Scamander!reader refers to as their children and its creatures of various tempers, species and sizes.
All I can think of it these images as their reactions(Pepe the kingprawn being Qifrey's reaction)
Request: Yes / No hiii(I requested a little while back with a similar reader if that’s okay) Could I request a Draco with a hufflepuff who’s newt’s granddaughter (was raised by him) and he has a crush on her because she’s nice and kind to anyone no matter who they and she’s never been mean to him no matter how mean he has been (even though he can’t be mean to her because he likes her and because she can even pick up on anyone being mean ) but his parents find out and his father ends up telling him they could never be together because she’s a blood traitor who’s friends with harry and that her parents were dark wizard hunters and they were killed by a greyback infront of her and maybe it ends with Draco saving her from greyback who was going to turn her literally just because he hates her because her parents maybe killed one of his pack mates or something 🥹 (Also can reader be scared of werewolves like deathly afraid) no pressure bye 🥹🙏💕 sorry for any grammar mistakes I’m bad with spelling and stuff @lydiadeetz-666

*Draco’s POV*
The first time I noticed Y/N, she was kneeling in the grass by the edge of the Black Lake, her sleeves rolled up, and her hands cupped carefully around a trembling creature. I hadn’t meant to stop. I had been on my way back from the dungeons, irritation simmering under my skin after another tedious Potions lesson, when something bright cut through my mood like sunlight through storm clouds. It was her soft, golden laughter. I paused, for just a second, but that was all it took. She didn’t see me at first. Her attention was entirely on the small, shaking Bowtruckle perched in her palm, its twig-like limbs quivering as though the world itself had offended it.
“It’s alright.” She murmured softly, voice warm as honey. “No one’s going to hurt you. You probably just got separated, didn’t you?”
I leaned against a tree, arms crossed, watching. I didn’t know why. I told myself it was curiosity. Or boredom. Or maybe I was just watching to see if she’d mess up- drop the creature, or scare it off, or prove she wasn’t as perfect as she looked.
But she didn’t.
She smiled, gentle and patient, and the Bowtruckle slowly stilled, its tiny fingers curling around her sleeve like it trusted her. And that was… strange. Creatures didn’t trust people like that. Not without reason.
“See?” She whispered. “You’re safe.”
I scoffed quietly under my breath. Ridiculous. And yet… I didn’t leave.
Y/N Scamander had arrived at Hogwarts only a few weeks earlier, but somehow, everyone already knew her. Not in the loud, dramatic way people knew Potter or the irritating Weasley twins, but in a quieter, softer way. People said things about her.
“She helped me with my Herbology homework.”
“She stayed up with me when I couldn’t sleep.”
“She fixed my wand grip without making me feel stupid.”
“She remembered my name.”
I didn’t understand it. Kindness, to me, had always come with conditions, or expectations, or judgment wrapped neatly in politeness. But Y/N… she didn’t seem to work that way. And I hated that I noticed.
“Oi, Malfoy!”
I turned, expression already sharpening into its unusual cold sneer as Blaise Zabini approached.
“What.”
Blaise jerked his head toward the Great Hall doors. “Your Hufflepuff friend’s looking for you.”
My stomach did something unpleasant.
“I don’t have a Hufflepuff friend.”
Blaise raised an eyebrow. “Y/H/C, always smiling, weirdly obsessed with magical creatures? That one.”
My ears burned.
“She’s not-”
“Draco!”
I froze.
That voice. Soft. Bright. Unmistakably hers.
I turned slowly, already feeling something dangerously close to panic creeping up my spine. Y/N stood a few feet away, waving like she hadn’t a care in the world. Her Hufflepuff robes were slightly rumpled, like she’d been running, and there was a smudge of dirt on her cheek. She looked… happy to see me. That was the worst part.
“Hi!” She said, walking over. “I’ve been looking for you.”
I glanced at Blaise, who was now very clearly trying not to laugh.
“Why would you be looking for me?” I asked stiffly.
Y/N tilted her head slightly, studying me. I felt like she could see straight through me.
“I wanted to thank you.” She said.
I blinked.
“...For what?”
“For helping me in Potions yesterday.”
I frowned. “I didn’t help you.”
“You did.” She insisted gently. “You told Professor Snape I measured the ingredients correctly when he thought I didn’t.”
My throat tightened. I hadn’t meant to do that. It just… happened. Snape had been about to dock her points unfairly, and before I could stop myself, I spoke up. It had been instinct, and I regretted it immediately.
“I was correcting him.” I muttered. “That’s all.”
Y/N smiled. Not mocking, or smug, just… warm.
“Well, thank you anyway.” I said.
I looked away. I didn’t like the way my chest felt.
It became a problem. That’s what I told myself. A problem. Because no matter how hard I tried to ignore her, Y/N kept… appearing. In the library, sitting across from me with a stack of books, offering me a soft smile before returning to her reading. In the corridors, walking beside me like it was the most natural thing in the world, talking about creatures, or class, or anything at all. At meals, somehow ending up near me, asking if he’d eaten enough. No one did that. No one ever asked me if I’d eaten enough. It was… unsettling. And worse? She was never mean. Not when I snapped at her. Not when I ignored her. Not even when I deliberately tried to push her away.
“Why are you like this?” I demanded one afternoon, after she caught up to me outside the greenhouse.
She blinked. “Like what?”
“Nice.” I said, the word sounding foreign on my tongue. “To me.”
She considered that for a moment. “Why wouldn’t I be?”
I stared at her.
“Do you not-” I stopped, frustrated. “Do you not see how people treat me?”
“I see how people treat you.” She said quietly.
“Then why-”
“But I also see how you treat people.” She cut me off.
I scoffed. “Exactly.”
Y/N shook her head.
“No.” She said softly. “Not exactly.
I frowned. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
She stepped a little closer, not enough to invade my space, but enough that I couldn’t ignore her.
“I think you’ve learned to be mean before anyone can be mean to you first.”
My breath hitched.
“That’s ridiculous.”
“Maybe.” She said gently. “But I don’t think you’re a bad person, Draco.”
“You don’t know me.” I said, but the words felt weaker than they should have.
Y/N smiled, small and soft.
“Then I’d like to.”
Just like that, I was completely and utterly ruined.
I tired to fight it. Merlin, I tried. I avoided her. Ignored her. Threw myself into my usual routines, my usual sneers, my usual sharp words. But none of it worked. Because every time I saw her- Helping a first-year who dropped their books, laughing with a group of Ravenclaws, kneeling in the grass, whispering to some creature like it was her equal- something in me shifted. Something I didn’t want. And yet… I couldn’t stop watching.
“Just ask her out.”
I nearly choked on my drink.
“Excuse me?”
Blaise leaned back in his chair, looking entirely too amused.
“You heard me.”
“I am no-” I lowered my voice sharply. “I am not asking her out.”
“Why not?”
I opened my mouth, then closed it.
Because the trust was, I didn’t know. Or rather… I did, and I didn’t like it.
“Because it’s pointless.” I said finally.
Blaise studied me for a moment.
“You’re scared.” He said simply.
My eyes flashed. “I am not scared.”
“Then what?”
I clenched my jaw.
“She deserves better.”
Blaise didn’t laugh this time; he just sighed.
“Maybe, but that’s not your decision to make, is it?”
I didn’t answer.
It happened on a rainy evening. I found her by accident, or at least, that’s what I told myself. She was sitting under one of the covered walkways in the courtyard, knees pulled to her chest, watching the rain like it was the most fascinating thing in the world.
“You’ll catch a cold.” I said before I could stop myself.
Y/N looked up, surprised, and then smiled.
“Hi, Draco.”
There it was again, that feeling. I stepped closer despite myself.
“You’re going to get sick.” I repeated.
“I won’t.” She said lightly. “I like the rain.”
I hesitated, then sat down a short distance away. For a moment, neither of us spoke. The sound of rain filled the silence.
“I’ve been thinking.” Y/N said eventually.
I stiffened. “That’s dangerous.”
She laughed softly.
“About you.” She added.
That made it worse.
“Why?”
“Because you’re confusing.” She said simply.
I huffed. “I’m not confusing.”
“You are.” She insisted gently. “You act like you hate everyone, but you don’t.”
“Yes, I do.”
“No.” She said, smiling slightly. “You don’t.”
I looked away.
“Why do you care?”
The question came out sharper than I intended. Y/N didn’t flinch.
“Because you matter.” She said.
My chest tightened.
“Don’t.” I said quietly.
“Don’t what?”
“Don’t say things like that.”
“Why not?”
“Because they’re not true.”
She studied me for a long moment. Then she shifted closer, just enough that I could feel her presence beside me.
“I think you’ve been told that for so long, you don’t know how to believe anything else.” She said softly.
“Because that’s not all you are.” She said firmly.
I looked at her, really looked at her. And for the first time, I saw it. Not just kindness, or warmth, but something stronger. Something that didn’t waver.
“You’re allowed to be more than the worst things you’ve done.” She said softly.
My throat tightened. No one had ever told me that before.
“Why do you care about me?” I asked, barely above a whisper.
Y/N smiled.
“Because you care.” She said.
I frowned. “About what?”
“About people, even if you pretend you don’t.” She said simply.
I shook my head.
“You’re wrong.”
“Am I?” She asked.
I hesitated, and that was answer enough.
The rain softened. The world felt quieter, smaller.
“Y/N.” I said suddenly.
She looked at me.
“Yes?”
My heart was racing. This was a mistake. A terrible, irreversible mistake, but I couldn’t stop.
“I-” I faltered, then forced myself to continue. “I don’t know how to be… what you think I am.”
She tilted her head.
“I don’t need you to be anything.” She said gently.
“That’s not true.”
“It is.” She insisted. “You don’t have to change overnight, or at all. You just… have to be honest.”
Draco laughed weakly.
“That’s worse.”
She smiled.
“Maybe.”
I took a deep breath.
“I like you.”
The words hung between us. Heavy, terrifying, but real. Y/N blinked, then she smiled.
“I know.” She said.
I stared at her.
“You- what?”
She laughed quietly.
“You’re not as hard to read as you think you are.”
I groaned, burying my face in his hands.
“This is a disaster.”
“It’s not.” She said.
I peeked at her through my fingers.
“It’s not?”
She shook her head.
“No.”
Hope flickered, small, fragile, and dangerous.
“Why not?”
She reached out, gently pulling my hands away from my face.
“Because I like you too.” She said softly.
My breath caught. “You-”
“I do.” She said, smiling.
I stared at her like I didn’t quite believe it.
“Why?”
She laughed again, but there was something fond in it.
“Because you try, even when it’s hard. Even when you don’t think anyone notices.” She said.
I felt something in my chest crack open.
“And because you’re not nearly as mean as you pretend to be.” She added a little more teasing now.
I huffed.
“Don’t tell anyone that.”
She grinned.
“Your secret’s safe with me.”
I reached for her hand, and she let me. For the first time in what felt like forever, I didn’t feel like I was fighting the world. I just felt calm.
After that night in the rain, everything changed, not loudly or dramatically. It wasn’t like the world shifted or Hogwarts suddenly looked different. It was worse than that. It became normal. Y/N and I… became normal. She didn’t make it complicated, she never did. She just… showed up. At first, it was small things. Walking together between classes, sharing a bench in the library, her fingers brushing mine ‘accidentally’ until I stopped pretending I didn’t notice. And then, one afternoon, she looked at me like I was something worth choosing, and said it.
“Do you want to go out with me, properly?”
I remember staring at her for a full ten seconds, like an idiot.
“Define properly.” I said, because of course I did.
She smiled. “Dinner, walks, sitting together without pretending we’re just ‘coincidentally’ in the same place.”
I swallowed.
“Yes.”
That was it. No fireworks or dramatic confessions. Just her smiling like I hadn’t just rearranged my entire world. And me realizing I didn’t want to go back.
Dating Y/N Scamander was… infuriating. Not because she was difficult, because she wasn’t. She was patient in a way that made me feel like I was constantly on the verge of being exposed. Like she could see every version of me I tried to hide, and still chose to stay. It made no sense. We didn’t hide it very well, either. Hufflepuffs noticed first, obviously. One of them nearly fainted when she kissed my cheek after Herbology. Slytherins noticed second.
Blaise just said, “Merlin help you.” And went back to reading.
Even Potter noticed eventually. He looked like he wanted to ask questions. I ignored him harder than usual. Y/N just waved at him since they were good friends. Because of course she was…
The first real crack came at Christmas. I hadn’t planned on going home. But I had no choice. The letter arrived folded too nearly, sealed with the Malfoy crest. Return home immediately. That was all it said. Y/N noticed the shift in me before I even told her.
“You’re leaving.” She said softly that evening, sitting beside me in the empty corridor.
I didn’t look at her. “Yes.”
“Not your idea.”
“No.”
She nodded slowly, like she understood something I hadn’t said.
“Will I see you over break?”
I hesitated.
“I don’t know…”
That made her quiet, but she didn’t push. She never pushed. Instead, she just reached for my hand.
“I’ll be here when you return.” She said.
It was a promise.
And I hated how much I needed it.
Malfoy Manor was colder than I remembered. Everything was too clean, too sharp, too quiet. And my Father was waiting in the drawing room like he’s been carved from stone and contempt.
“Draco.”
I stopped in the doorway.
“Father.”
He studied me the way one might inspect a damaged object. Then his eyes narrowed.
“I’ve heard things.”
“I’m aware.” I said carefully.
He stepped forward.
“About a girl.”
My stomach dropped.
“Who?”
He didn’t answer immediately. He didn’t need to. He knew I knew.
“A Scamander.” He said finally, voice like ice. “A Hufflepuff. Friend of Potter’s little circle of misfits.”
My hands curled slightly at my sides.
“She’s not-”
“Careful, you will not speak over me!” He interrupted sharply.
Silence.
Father circled me slowly.
“You are a Malfoy.” He said. “We do not associate with blood traitors.”
My jaw tightened.
“She’s not a blood traitor.”
That earned me a look, almost amused.
“Her parents were dark wizard hunters.” He said coldly. “She has been raised among people who wouldn’t happily see our family in Azkaban.”
My chest tightened.
“She’s not them.” I said.
Father stopped walking, and for the first time, his voice sharpened into something dangerous.
“You will end this.” He said.
I didn’t move.
“No.”
The word echoed. Father stared at me like I had spoken in a foreign language.
“You will do as I say.” He repeated slowly.
My heart was pounding now.
“No.” I said again.
Something dark flickered in his expression.
“You are not thinking clearly.”
“I am.”
“She is a liability.”
“She’s a person.” I snapped.
That made the room go still. For a moment, neither of us spoke. Then Father leaned in slightly, lowering his voice.
“Do you know what happened to her parents?” He asked quietly.
My blood ran cold.
“What?”
A slow, cruel smile.
“They were killed by Greyback.” He said. “Torn apart in front of her.”
My breath caught. The world tilted slightly. Father watched me carefully.
“She watched it happen.” He continued. “A little Hufflepuff girl raised by her grandparents after watching her parents die.”
My hands were shaking.
“You’re lying.” I said.
He tilted his head.
“Am I?”
Something in me cracked.
I didn’t sleep that night, I couldn’t. Because all I could see was her smile, her kindness. Her hands holding mine like I wasn’t something broken. And the idea of her watching her parents die… I felt sick.
I didn’t tell her, not yet. I couldn’t. Because the moment I saw her again at Hogwarts, sitting in the courtyard with a book in her lap and a smile waiting for me… I forgot how to breathe properly.
“Draco!” She called, standing immediately.
Merlin, she looked so happy. Like nothing in the world had ever touched her. Like she wasn’t carrying ghosts I hadn’t even known existed. I walked toward her anyway, and she noticed.
“What’s wrong?” She asked instantly.
I shook my head.
“Nothing.”
She didn’t believe me, but she nodded anyway.
“Okay, but you can tell me later.” She said softly.
I should’ve told her then.
The attack happened three days later. It was late, too late. I remember hearing the screams before I saw anything. The corridors were chaos. People shouting, wants drawn, and then… her. Y/N. Standing frozen in the courtyard entrance. White-faced and trembling.
“No…” She whispered.
I followed her gaze and felt my entire body go cold. Greybak. Standing at the edge of the Forbidden Forest like something dragged out of a nightmare. His eyes locked onto her instantly.
“Oh, there she is.” He growled.
Y/N took a step back.
“No…” She whispered again, voice shaking. I moved instantly.
“Y/N, get behind me.” I said sharply.
She didn’t move. She couldn’t. Her breathing was uneven now, panicked. And I saw it, the fear. Not normal fear, something deeper. Something primal.
“Run!” I ordered. But she was shaking too hard.
“I can’t-” She choked out.
Greyback laughed.
“Oh, I remember you.” He called. “Little Scamander girl.”
Y/N flinched violently at the name. Her hands were shaking so badly her wand nearly slipped.
“No…” She whispered. “No, no-”
I stepped foward.
“Leave her alone.” I said codly.
Greyback tilted his head.
“You’re the Malfoy boy.” He said. “Interesting.”
He took a step closer.
“I heard you’re fond of her.”
My grip tightened on my wand.
“Another step and I’ll-”
But Y/N made a small sound behind me. A broken, terrified inhale. I turned just in time to see her stumble back.
“Y/N!” I grabbed her arm. She was shaking so hard she could barely stand.
“I can’t…” She whispred again. “I can’t- please- he’s-”
I understood then. She wasn’t just scared. She was terrified of Werewolves. Not irrationally, or lightly, deathly afraid. Greyback noticed too. His grin widened.
“Oh, good.” He said softly. He moved, fast, too fast. I reacted on instinct.
“PROTEGO!” The spell slammed into him, throwing him back, but not far enough. He was laughing.
“Brave.” He snarled.
I didn’t look at him. I looked at her. Y/N was frozen, tears in her eyes now, breathing collapsing into panic.
“Draco…” She whispered.
“Listen to me.” I said sharply, stepping closer to her. “Look at me.”
She did, barely.
“I’ve got you.” I said. “Do you hear me?”
Her breathing hitched.
“I can’t-”
“You can. You’re not alone.” I said firmly.
A crash came from behind us. Greyback was coming again. I turned, and something inside me snapped. I didn’t think.
“STUPEFY!”
He dodged. But I was faster than I had ever been in my life.
“Stay behind me!” I shouted over my shoulder.
“I can’t-” She sobbed.
“Yes, you can!”
Another spell, another dodge. Greyback snarled. He lunged again, and this time he got close. Too close to her. Y/N screamed, and I lost it.
“NO!” I threw myself between them. His claws scratched my chest, pain exploding through me. But I stayed standing. Barely, but I stayed. Greyback paused, surprised. I raised my wand.
“Get away from her.”
His smirk widened.
“REDUCTO!”
The blast sent him flying back into the trees. He didn’t get up immediately. I didn’t care. I turned, Y/N was shaking on the ground now.
“Hey, hey, look at me.”
She couldn’t. Her eyes were unfocused, trapped somewhere else.
“No, not again… please…” She whispered.
My heart shattered. I grabbed her face gently.
“Y/N, it’s me, Draco. You’re safe.” I said softly.
Her breathing stuttered. Slowly, she looked at me. Something in her expression broke.
“I thought-” She choked. “I thought I was going to…”
“You’re not.” I said immediately. “You’re here and safe.”
Her hands gripped my sleeves like she was afraid I’d disappear. I pulled her into my arms, and she clung to me like I was the only solid thing left in the world.
Later, when everything was over, when Greyback was gone, and the professors had taken control, she still wouldn’t let go. And I didn’t make her. Because for once in my life, I didn’t care what my Father thought. I didn’t care what anyone thought. I just held her and whispered, over and over.
could i request Scamander!Reader x Remus Lupin? Maybe they have been going on dates for a few months but turns out she knew he was a werewolf? She just didn't say anything cause she wanted to wait for him to tell her, but after a full moon, Remus got hurt like really really bad so when he wakes up the next morning he is at nursing and the reader is helping with his wounds (cause she's an scamander so she obviously should now how to fix werewolfs wounds fr)
and remus kinda freaks out because she isn't supposed to be there and starts trying to make excuses about his wounds
Thanks for requesting! I'm not a Scamander myself hehe so I had to look up some werewolf stuff but I hope this is alright :)
Remus Lupin x Scamander!reader ♡ 653 words
Remus wakes feeling like he always does after a full moon: exhausted, groggy, and so, so sore. From the brightness against his eyelids and the sounds around him, he knows he's in the infirmary. It's not uncommon, and as humiliating as the whole ordeal can be, he's glad to have Madam Pomfrey to care for him as he heals from the previous night's...events.
But when he opens his eyes, it's not Madam Pomfrey that sits at his bedside, applying some sort of paste to the gouge across his ribcage.
He must inhale or twitch in his surprise, because your attention turns to his face, your hands stilling.
"You're awake," you say, looking at Remus with eyes full of kindness and sympathy. He feels like he might vomit. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine," he says, too sharply, and hurt flashes across your features. Remus' heart is pounding, but he forces himself to take a breath, muzzling his panic. Still, his voice trembles slightly as he asks, "Y/N, love, what are you doing here?"
You smile softly, and Remus knows he's forgiven. "I knew there was some dittany in the greenhouse, so I thought I'd bring some to help heal you."
"I..." Why weren't you asking more questions? You and Remus had only been dating for a few months, and you'd yet to see him in the aftermath of a transformation. He hadn't had to lie to you yet, to make up excuses for why he missed days of class every month and reappeared with new scars. "I was out with Sirius and James last night, and we got fairly wasted." He forces what he hopes is a sheepish grin, though it doesn't feel very convincing. "I took a tumble down a hill, and well..." he gestures to his torn-up torso, shrugging as if it's just further evidence of he and his friends' foolishness.
"Remus," you say, and the nausea is back, your tone far too knowing for Remus' liking, "honey, it's okay. I wanted you to be able to tell me in your own time, but after last night..." You pause, your face pinching in distress as your eyes run over his wounds, ugly and oozing. "I couldn't just not help anymore. I'm sorry."
Remus' stomach is really roiling now, his entire body caught between fight and flight as he reckons with the shock of your admission and his bafflement at your composure. "You knew?" His voice comes out accusatory, but he can hardly muster the energy to correct it. "For how long?"
"I mean, it took me a couple weeks of getting to know you to figure it out." You shrug, going back to gently pressing the dittany to his wounds. "But really, Remus, it doesn't matter to me. I only care about being able to be there for you, to help."
A couple weeks, it'd taken you to learn his secret. So you'd known for months, while Remus had fretted over hiding his headaches from you and worrying that you'd eventually see him just like this, and now here you were. Remus takes a moment to look at you, the tenderness with which you touch him, careful to avoid hurting him further, the patience in your eyes as you wait for his response.
"You really aren't afraid?" he asks. Despite years of sharing all of himself with James and Sirius, Remus finds himself nearly unable to trust it. "Disgusted? Angry with me?"
The look you give him borders on offence, though there's still that same gentle sympathy in your eyes. "Merlin, Remus, of course not. I know it can't be easy for you, and I wouldn't expect you to tell me before you're ready. It's just...another part of you." You smile a bit, and Remus can't help but return it, bewildered and feeling very much on the precipice of falling in love. "And I like all of you, so there."

Newt/Theseus Scamander x sibling!reader
warnings: fb3 spoilers! mainly takes place during the movie! also death/fighting
a/n: god i have been so excited to write this dhsbsghs. and i love u anon ur so sweet.
prompt: anonymous: “OMG I JUST WATCHED FB3 and it was such a fun ride!! may i request a headcanon for being the youngest scamander who's still in hogwarts? thank you very much! your works are always lovely ♡”
yes, you were quite younger than your brothers
but that didn’t change the fact that they loved you and you loved them
it was a shame you couldn’t get in on the action with them, whether that be magizoology or ministry happenings (or adventures they found themselves in)
dumbledore swore to keep his eye on you
made sure you didn’t get kicked out like *someone* in your family
“you’re so close to graduating, y/n. please take it seriously” -dumbledore
“fifty-fifty chance i do” -you
you don’t typically see theseus and newt at the same time, but whoever is closest for the holidays will pick you up
leta adored you, you’d talk to her every chance you got
“how’s school going, y/n? get yourself into any trouble lately?” -leta
“why does everyone keep asking me that?” -you
“why do you think?” -theseus
he always squeezes the crap out of you when he sends you back to school
and sends you off with a gift or two
“be good” -theseus
“you really don’t trust me, huh?” -you
“force of habit. i’m gonna miss you” -theseus
“right, right. i’ll miss you, too” -you
newt had told you all about how he got into all sorts of trouble at hogwarts
gave you a ton of pointers over the years. where to hide mostly
and he told you to speak your mind, even if it gets you into trouble
but he warned against taking the fall for others, he learned that the hard way
“i’d like to see you graduate here, do some good.” -newt
“wanna hear what i did last week?” -you
“oh, dear…go ahead” -newt
you always had fun telling newt your stories
the few times you get to see him
you missed your brothers often
when leta died, you were shaken to your core
the funeral was a drag
you practically clung to newt and theseus as you parted once more, you worried deeply for their lives
they felt you’d be safest at hogwarts and encouraged you to enjoy it while you could
“i really wish i could be out there with them” -you
“i know you do, but think about your education for a moment” -dumbledore
“mm, okay, still want to help” -you
“why can’t you be a cheeky hermit like newt was your age?” -dumbledore
“because i’m not newt” -you “or theseus, before you go there”
“you’re funny like them, though” -dumbledore
you really did remind him of newt and theseus, but your dynamic also reminded him of him, aberforth, and ariana
when newt’s friend, jacob, showed up to hogwarts, you were so excited
“hello! you must be jacob!” -you
“hey, yeah, that’s me. you, uh, you a psychic or something?” -jacob
“i’m something, y/n scamander” -you
“oh! oh, you’re the little sibling! look at you in your funny little uniform. wow, another scamander. you uptight or an animal lover?” -jacob
“just me, thank you” -you
giving jacob the tour
“do you fly around this place on those broomsticks, too?” -jacob
“i did once or twice” -you, laughing “got kicked off the quidditch team, though. i had my fair streak of trouble”
“quidditch? what’s that?” -jacob
“it’s the sport that they’re playing” -you
“like…like baseball?” -jacob
“sure, like baseball” -you
when your brothers got back to hogwarts, you were ecstatic (and desperate to get in on it all)
“y/n, don’t you have studies?” -theseus
“shhh, just let me have this” -you
“hi there, y/n, missed you” -newt
“where’s the case?” -you
“oh, i dont have it at the moment” -newt
“what? where is it?” -you
“bunty has it” -newt
“and where is she?” -you
you were highly intrigued by the issue at hand
well, not so much intrigued as you were desperate to know what was going on
any detail left out would make you lose sleep
“where are you staying tonight?” -you
“they’ll be staying at the hog’s head inn” -dumbledore
“may i come, too? just for tonight?” -you
“ah, i don’t know if that’s appropriate—” -dumbledore
“we’ll sign off on it” -newt
*theseus side eyes*
you brought some of your homework along and did it at the bar, just wanting to be near
newt helped you out with it for a bit
“hey, i remember this. you need a hand? or another head?” -newt
“sure, that’d be great” -you
you told him how you’d gone through the boggart lesson recently
“oh! oh…oh, how was that?” -newt
“not too bad, we all had a few laughs” -you
“yours wasn’t too scary?” -newt
“no, not any worse than a desk” -you, making fun of him
newt had noticed writing on the mirror across from him and left you a moment
and lally wanted to get to know the youngest scamander
“why hello there, dear. we haven’t had a moment to ourselves yet. what are you up to?” -lally
“just some homework brought from hogwarts. they excused me from curfew tonight as long as i proved i’d still be productive” -you
“a unique situation you’re in, aren’t you?” -lally
“you could say that” -you, laughing “i’m always being expected to act up thanks to newt, but they always want me to go above and beyond like theseus. i love my brothers, i’d just like to be me”
“oh, i see. well, i see you as you. tell me about you” -lally
you and lally had a long conversation while newt and dumbledore did the same
“you know, y/n carries a copy of fantastic beasts wherever they go. i think they miss you” -dumbledore
“they do? how do you know?” -newt
“i see them read it all the time. they even catch some unsuspecting students to ramble to about it from time to time” -dumbledore
“are you saying they’re starting to…to turn out like me?” -newt
“i’m saying they miss you. don’t take that for granted, newt. not after what i just told you” -dumbledore, glancing at the painting of ariana
when they came back downstairs, you were playing with the newest addition to the magical briefcase
where teddy the niffler was getting jealous and stealing coins from your pocket
you made the most of this time with your brothers and their friends, knowing that danger loomed over them
and there was nothing that you could do
but you could dance and talk and laugh and mingle until the sun came up
you followed them to the room of requirement and gave them hugs goodbye
“what is this place?” -jacob
“the room we require” -newt
“y/n, why didn’t you show me this?” -jacob
*magic users chuckling*
“be safe. please” -you
“you’re worried about us? that’s adorable” -theseus, hugging you as hard as he could
“oh, sorry. i hope you get cursed” -you, sarcastically
“i’ll see you soon, don’t worry. just focus on your classes” -newt
“why can’t i come with you? i want to help!” -you
“because dumbledore doesn’t need any children fighting his battles” -theseus
^(a/n: *spongebob narrator voice* “sixty years later”)
anyways
you were on edge all day, watching the election for supreme mugwump with your classmates
your brothers appeared before the wizarding world and you hid behind your hands as your classmates turned to you
“are you alright, y/n?” -professor mcgonnagal
“that depends on what happens in the next few minutes” -you
fortunately, your brothers came home
and you were invited to jacob and queenie’s wedding in new york!
“really?!” -you
“yes, really, kid! you’re gonna love new york, i’ll even give you a tour! least i can do for you showing me your school” -jacob
you went to new york and absolutely loved it, it was your new favorite place
and these wedding guests, your new favorite people
Imagine traveling to America with your big brother, Newt.
“Come on, [f/n], don’t dawdle,” Newt scolded lightly, giving your hand a tug. You reluctantly trotted after your older brother, still gawking at the hustle and bustle of New York.
“Newt, look at that!” you whispered, pulling on his hand and leading him to a bridge that overlooked the pier. “Was that the ship we came on?”
Newt nodded, readjusting his grip on his case.
You stared out across the harbour, eyes wide with wonder, “It’s so big, Newt!”
Your brother sighed, flashing a smile as he ruffled your hair with a free hand, “This is the punishment I get for having you stay in the case during the trip, isn’t it?”
You ducked away, sticking out your tongue, “You could have at least let me explore the ship a bit.”
“Someone had to keep the creatures from getting seasick. You’re lucky I even let you out now. We’ve still got a ways to go before we get to Arizona,” Newt warned.
Your expression turned to a pout, “Do we have to let Frank go?”
“Yes. He has to go back to where he belongs,” Newt explained patiently, guiding you away from the bridge and back to the busy street. “You can’t expect him to live the rest of his life in a case, can you?” His look turned amused, “You can barely survive down there for a few days.”
“Fine, whatever, I’ll stay in the stupid case if it means that much to you.” You gave Newt a playful shove. “But don’t you dare release Frank without telling me.”
Random thought I had about Scamander!reader and their creatures
THIS THOUGHT WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE!
So, I'm finally putting it here.
Scamander!reader's creatures basicly inceriging her to stay in twisted wonderland.
Sure alot of them are wild but to some or a lot of them don't have that many good experiences with humans but just as many of them could have been raised by Scamander!reader.
BUT this focuses on the one raised in the wild\Ones Scamander!reader has been nursing back to health and helping in many other ways.
So when they see that Scander!reader enjoys being in twisted wonderland they all agree they'll stay if it means Scamader!reader is happy.
They basically come to a group agreement that they want her to be happy even if they won't return home themselves.
Maybe they basically pick this up when Scamander!reader is in the suit case taking care of them\spending time with them in their suitcase...thing(Idk the ting Newt Scamander has in the movies)
And it's getting clearer as time goes on to Scamader!reader who notices they've been trying to push them into staying in twisted wonderland.
I remembered this little thing about Percy Jackson having a stare that can scare off people like gangsters. So, I went back to his wiki to see if it was there and it was.
And all I can imagine since then is
Scamander!reader having that stare they don't like using it creatures(that's once in a blue moon or even rarer) but on people they have no arguments on that but they won't use it against their older sibling.
And the first person they use it on in Twisted wonderland is Riddle after the fight with that mine monster that looks like those overblot beasts with the glass heads.
AND Scamander!reader's stare is WAY worse than Riddle's mother's stare.
And NO ONE wants to be on the reciving end of that stare after hearing about it.
Here is my interpretation of that scene from the anime.
Riddle:Why would I go out of my way to help rule-breakers?
-Ace:[gulps]
-Deuce:[gulps]
Riddle:You are both in violation of Queen of Hearts rule number 304,which clearly states,
"On days when a hedgehog sneezes, all playing card soldiers
must gather together to perform a song."
Ace and Deuce:What?
Ace:When a hedgehog what?We sing when it sneezes?
Riddle:We received a report at 1600 hours today
that a hedgehog had, in fact, sneezed, and when all the students of our House
gathered to sing, the two of you were absent! You have committed a serious cri-
Scamander!reader how would they know it happened?
The Heartslabyul students look to the one standing in the middle of the first years.
Ace:Hey Y-
Scamander!Reader:We don't have phones and are away from anywhere we would recive the news and unless one of them is psychic or something none of us would know and we are out here on orders of headmaster Crowley.
The Heartslabyul students stepped back when they see the glare on the middle one's face.
Scamander!Reader:I ask again how are they supposed to know that a hedgehog sneezed.
Cater:Scary.
Let's just say they didn't get dragged back and actually got the mage stone with Scamander!reader
1.The staff of night raven basically adopting Scamander!reader on the spot.
Think about it
They see a student who couldn't be sorted into any dorm and is a walking ball of social anxiety unless it comes to the main cast.
A student who isn't from this world and in a different world unlike their own.
And someone who helps out around the school even though they are an official student.
If Lucius isn't with Trein he's with Scamander!reader
2.Scamander!Reader doing an internship at RSA(Royal Sword Academy)
Which leads to Crowley and Ambrose into a daily war for custody.
3.Scamander!reader becoming a teacher or the new headmage
If Scamander!reader does stay in Twisted wonderland I can see them becoming a teacher and possibly later down the road taking Crowley's place.
Now when Scamander!reader is a teacher I can see them becoming either NRC's version of care of mythical creatures, potions or History.
But Crowley,Sam,Vargas,Trein and Crewel still keep an eye on Scamander!reader even though by this point they're a full-grown adult.
4.Scamander!reader showing Riddle their suitcase Vivarium.
After the events of the Heartslabyul Book Scamander!reader introduces him to their creatures and basically gives him an open invitation to go and leave and he pleases.
It's basically a way for him to relax and go at his own pace when it comes to his studies.
The creatures keep an eye on Riddle to make sure he's not over working himself.
5.Stitch joins Scamander!reader
I know there is an official stitch event, but this is a thought I just enjoy.
Stitch joins Scamander!reader and the rest of the cast but can mainly be found in Scamander!reader's Vivarium.
