I came across Rusty Quill and The Magnus Archives while working the overnight shift in the Lab at my local hospital. It’s been a great way to pass the time on the long hours. You might be surprised how comforting a horror podcast can be overnight at a hospital, ah but I digress.

I was curious, do you believe in the supernatural or ghosts?

Funny, I've barely ever been asked this question despite my weird job. No I don't currently believe in ghosts or the supernatural. In general I am an open-minded sceptic. Show me evidence and I'll revise my world views but despite hurling myself headfirst into that stuff I've done nothing but bounce off. It's why I still want to do a ghost hunting show. I'm never gonna get chance to change my views if I don't experience Weird Shit TM.

so tired of people speaking/writing about harm caused by religion and then having to always start with a disclaimer like “I know that not all Islam and Christianity is bad and that you are probably one of the good ones and I’m not trying to offend you and religion can be good sometimes and you’re probably such a good person” before they make their actual point.

And I don’t think so only because I believe that both Christianity and Islam have misogyny and colonialism inherent to their core theology, but also because this disclaimer undermines any point about the religion itself and reduces it only to a sociological analysis instead of a philosophical or theological analysis.

It implicitly asserts that there is some sort of morally perfect form of Christianity or Islam that with just the right amount of liberalism can be achieved and harm absolutely no one.

And the thing is, if you are a Christian or a Muslim you probably think this is true about your respective religion. However, you would agree with me on this point about the opposing religion because the truth claims of Christianity and Islam are mutually exclusive.

I don't ask brain why we sad,

It's only when my brain says "we be happy" that I ask why, knowing very well, it's a temporary glitch.

There is so much that is fundamentally wrong with AI and how people choses to use it but one thing that makes me so sad is how I have gotten skeptical because of it. That fan art posted by someone new, is it ai? That one writer that all of a sudden writes so much better, is that ai? Does that person actually write that much that fast, or is it ai? Can I use that word processor for writing or will it: a) steal my words and give them to the ai gods b) suggest gibberish or completely ai written sentences I wanna believe in the good and in the arts, and not be a skeptic. But it is damn hard sometimes.

I just want to say that I love people who question things and want sufficuent proof and who value truth above white lies. I never really understood why people hated "grumpy" people who don't sugarcoat stuff. Like, oh, you want me to always just accept and believe what's said to me? Sure, why don't we all just do that, what the hell, world is a cotton candy ball and everything is nice as long as we don't question stuff💕

Like, people who find curious, analytical and/or critical(as long as it's not bullying) questions or statements rude and disrespectful scare me.

I genuinely love grumpy people who don't fall for those stuff. How the hell is the common belief going to save you if it's false? You can't rely on anything false. I guess they comfort themselves with the thought that they'll all sink together🤍
