THE USUAL SUSPECT FOR DOODLING
Jason Penner, sometimes gets shortened to Jase
Jason is an ENVOY of Splendorman, he doesn’t know that’s what it’s called or how that relates to the scar on his arm or his eyes going purple or why his pupils flick white and glow when everything feels like static, but he’s doing his best.
Jason also has Paranoid Schizophrenia and is on the autism spectrum (low to mild support needs). Most would characterize him as being jumpy and nervous constantly, but also being very sincere and caring. Jason is the protagonist of THE ENVOY and an active party member in @bloodsongrpg.
Envoys are young persons who had been rescued from a terrible fate due to violent acts in the forests by Splendorman. All of which are returned to human settlements around a week or so after the incident, as Splendorman does his best to ensure their wellbeing in mind and body, most are taken back to their homes or to a place they feel safest.
However, Jason’s never felt safe anywhere, his parents did not care for his experiences and his home was barely safe when it was him left alone so often… Meeting Splendorman changed his whole world forever, and unlike how all of the good in his life eventually left him, Jason wasn’t going to let Splendorman leave his life.
During Jason’s time with Splendorman, he had never felt so cared for before. Never had anyone listened and held him close when Jason’s mind swirled with fear, no one but him would even think to acknowledge his struggles like Splendorman did. At first Jason was rightfully scared of such a strange man, fearing for his life at every turn… only after he panicked and vented his fear and his feelings of unworthiness of the unconditional care Jason had revived did he realize how much someone could care.
When Jason eventually entered the dark forest once again, now horrified at the thought of abandonment and danger lurking within, he was found once again by the strange man. Splendorman had lingered in the forest far longer than he would, for he worried deeply for the fate of the young man who turned from great fear to wishing to escape with him into the wilderness. All at once, Jason’s cries and pleading became audible to the strange man.
. . .
“You’re so brave… You’re so kind and you’re so sweet” My mind was racing but for once I wasn’t scared of it, “I was so afraid for you, I- I didn’t see this happening at all… but I’m so glad you’re safe, no matter what brought you back to me… Jason”.
Splendorman raised me up, I was off the ground and back in his arms. I closed my eyes, my face stung with the cold of the air before ebbing into the warmth around me now. It felt… weird. I didn’t think there’d ever have the moment of feeling safe in someone’s arms. For once I wished I could stay in this moment forever, for once I wasn’t fearing for my life.
He held me close for a while. For a moment I could feel the rocking of his body as if he was crying too. I remember how Splendorman told me how he feels people’s emotions like they’re his own, though I can’t tell if he’s crying because I am or because he is crying. Before I knew it, Splendorman rose to stand up, his mask and hat hovered over me, “I… am unsure what lies ahead now”. His voice looked me in the eyes with a devoted smile, “Yet, no matter what will come of it. You will never be alone in what may come of it”.
I couldn’t find the right words, “I- I .. I’m so sorry..”. The sudden dread of acceptance rushed into every single place. “I.. I must’ve ruined everything yo-you wanted to do.. I don’t.. I — I’m so sorry” My body shuddered at the thought of it, I started to cry all over again.
“Jason…” Splendorman’s words were gentle with a saddened smile, one of his fingers carefully brushed the hair from my face. “You are a gift I never thought I would receive, I couldn’t have imagined I would meet anyone who would come back for me.” Splendorman raised me closer to his mask, in its glass I could barely see my own reflection. “There is nothing you could ever do to cause me ruin. All I ever want for children like you is to be happy and loved in a place they feel the most safe.” He took a deep breath before an earnest smile followed his voice, “I never imagined that I would become the safest place for you to be. I never imagined anyone would ever consider such a thing to be true, but you… you believe it so.”. “You have been through so much pain and loneliness to be where you are now. Your persistence and strength to fight for what you believe in astounds me. You are a gift, sweeting, a person who deserves to be at peace for all you’ve suffered through.” His words softly smiled as they stared into my eyes. “Your mind may frighten you in ways I can never imagine, the world can be a scary and unpredictable place and even if it were to end and I cannot be by your side, I will always be there. I will do all I can with all my power to keep you safe, Jason. From now on, you are not alone in your worries and strife, not anymore and never again.” He held me close again, his voice barely holding in the tears. “I will be there, I will carry you to the ends of the Earth, I will never let you go. No matter what will happen, I will always fight for you. Nothing you will ever do will keep me from holding you close to my heart, and if you fear or if you forget I will always remind you every day and every hour. I promise you, Jason”.
I hugged him tighter, hugged him tighter even though my arms felt weak. I didn’t know what to say but it didn’t matter, I knew that he knew how much those words meant to me. I knew deep down, I’d do everything to do the same, even if that’s not enough to give him what he’s given me.
“Th…. Thank you” I whimpered, my face flushed with warm tears as the soft crunches of footsteps carried me into the woods again. Is this what people feel when they feel at home? Home wasn’t ever a place where I felt safe… but if home can be something like a feeling and that can be a person.
I think I finally know what it’s like, to finally come home.

[TFCaQ] Drabble #1 - 'Carriage'
The Cacophony clambered into the front seat of the stolen carriage, skirts flaring, laughter bubbling.
"I want a turn!" she declared, reaching for the reins.
The Specter didn’t look at her, simply shifted them out of reach with calm precision, one gloved hand pressing lightly against her forehead to push her back into her seat. Undeterred, the Cacophony whined and squirmed, heels banging against the carriage frame as they barreled down a smoking hill.
"You’re no fun!" she huffed.
The Specter said nothing.
The carriage rolled over a body with a violent jolt.
The Cacophony grinned.
"Okay, fine. You’re fun."

Day 11 - Hallucinations
Tags/CW: schizophrenic character, ladywhump,
Chaos Ecker had always wanted a quiet life. However, despite having reality-altering powers, things just never quite went his way. His quiet life was frequently interrupted when he got caught up in other's people drama, his sidekicks trying to kill themselves, the IRS, his cousins wreaking havoc, or his girlfriend.
To be honest, that last one he did to himself. He refused to kick her out. After all, it wasn't her fault. She was just ill, and he had no right to judge her for it. Besides, most days they did fine together. She helped him run the little cafe he took over from his father when he became too ill to run it, and she helped him to care for his father, and sometimes even his sidekicks.
On bad days, however...
I remember seeing this in an English class and I finally found it again. I've been thinking of the Three again (they need a cool name like The Golden Trio or KT3) and their conflicts.
They all have a few different conflicts going on, as they are human (or at least a race similar enough to count as human), and while Veraldwiz is postmodern, it still reflects some modern and classical conflicts.
Sep is primarily Man vs Reality, however, it's the warped version of reality he's subconsciously created for himself, so one could argue it's Man vs Self
Reagan is Man vs Society (with a sprinkle of Man vs. Self)
Ky is Man vs Self, while he's battling his anxiety and the arc of save vs. unhappy and unsafe vs. happy

Todoroki knew that if his mom had a mental illness in the schizo-spectrum, there was a chance he could have one too. However, he didn't think he would develop one because he totally didn't have one now. His grip on reality couldn't be better. He always knew what was and what wasn't. He'd never had an instance of unreality that he knew of, of course, there was the possibility that he didn't realise and thought everything was real and okay when in reality his mind had built up everything, but those thoughts were for other sleepless nights.
