Well well well

The last day of school is finally upon us

More than upon us

It’s passed by now

So on this one day

Before the next chapter

I will say farewell

Farewell to those I laughed with

Farewell to those I cried with

Farewell to those I sang with

Farewell to those I prayed with

Farewell to those who taught me well

And gave me all my knowledge

Farewell to those who gave me memories

Lasting longer than you know

Farewell to those that doubted me

I care more for you than I show

Farewell to the floors

Who carried me day by day

Farewell to the doors

Who showed me the way

Farewell to the signs, the fountains, the chairs, the desks, the walls, the stalls, the sinks, the equipment, the bleachers, the grass, ground, and air

Farewell to those who care

Farewell to all

And know that you stand tall

And maybe, just next fall

When there’s all new annoying trends

Wake up,

Just enough to make a meal;

Onwards I go on.

School, 

Study hard;

Comprehend, revise, test.

Lunch, 

I am sat with friends -

My family.

Bell rings,

Drag your feet

To the front door.

I am home -

Weary, 

Am I happy?

goes the sound

of moving legs

passing by

chit chat

goes the sound

of happy voices

talking aloud

hah hah

sounds the laughter

of merry students

walking down

starting towards their class

it occured everyday

but no one knew

so what could they say?

it wasn't expected

nobody said it

and they all started to run

at the sound of the gun

Another Poem

I go to sleep

I see a red liquid

Its thick

Its also sweet.

But people say its bad.

A bad thing to see.

It isnt that bad

You just need the right mind.

Dark, destructive

Mind for it

It isn't that difficult.

Just think dark.

Think like me.

Think like the horror movie.

The liquid is scarlet red,

Sweet,

And important.

Yet everyone is afraid to see it.

Blood is needed for life.

It is magnificent.

The scent

The look.

I wake up.

I get up and look around.

The same room.

The same house.

But the color and scent of blood.

I smile to the scent of a new day.

Nothing to do today.

But go to school.

With my knife.

I want to fly, I want to fly and feel the crisp air running it's fingers through my hair, I want it to surround me like a blanket, Chilling my skin and lifting my wings, I want to fly and be free. I want to sing, I want my voice to float and soar through the air and stab through someone's heart, Shaking someone's thoughts to near destruction, A Siren, Pulling them ever closer and closer, Till all you hear is my song, A hum, A tune I want to sing. I need to run Run, Run and never look back. I want to run through a field of warm memories, Each one tickling my skin and warming my heart. I want to run and be free I want control of where I run and who I run to. I want to run and face no walls. I want to fly, I want to sing, I want to run.

To break apart

To mark up

"Examine the structure,

The literary forms,"

I imagined taking a

Scalpel to the sound

Of my heartbeat

Unraveling art and music,

Yanking out the organs

And spilling them on

The table, saying

"This, here, is what they did,

This is alliteration and irony,"

And ignore the profound way

The words speak to me

Whispering in a world of

Darkness and uncertainties

"You are not alone,"

I do not like that you

Told us to pick a song

Because I only heard

"Let's rip out a piece of you

And see how it ticks."

Somebody distract me This before school anxiety Is tearing me down And I’m falling apart. I want to throw up My chest and stomach hurt Is this how it is to grow up? Then let me lay beneath the dirt. This isn’t how it should be I shouldn’t be crying at almost 6 a.m. The education system is broken It needs to be fixed, again. I shouldn’t scared to raise my hand Get laughed at by my not-friends Wrong answers are for learning Not to make your face be burning. But it hurts Make it stop Take it away Its something I don’t want. But I have to go. If I don’t I’m a disgrace in society levels No matter how much I cry No matter how much pain I handle If I get below a seventy I belive I failed Because the people around me, They get 90s with no fail. Teachers dress their pretty red pen Shiny stickers to say ‘Good job’ Desks with ornaments Walls with posters Trying to say that it’s safe but it’s not I just want to cry, run away School is a place where dreams die. Where teachers shoot down ideas before they’re a thought. Then throw you down in a hole of broken grades and failed tests. Tell you they expected more but they give less. Stay up to 3 a.m. working on a damn paper. For the teacher to give you the same mark as a guy who says 'I’ll submit it later’ Same grade as a girl to high on weed Half the classes she’s fast asleep. You take noted you study you take the best. “66 is the best I can give you” Miss two weeks and a day Teachers hand you 23 pages and say 'it’s do by yesterday’ Then mark you less, for being late. God forbid you had the stomach flu. As far as they care you can do better. As far as I’m concerned I could do worse

And gunky-gummed desks

Drain my brain

Of quick-flitting ideas.

Too much predictablity;

Work

Eat

Work

And turn your brain off again.

An endless cycle of repeat

Till weekend arrives

So I'm left questioning;

Will I ever be something?
