Sorry for not responding to ya lately, because yesterday I went to my first and last prom. (It’s like pre-graduation party) And I had a fucking blast here it’s more like a club!!!!!
Prom!! 💌
this was a really long journey but we’ve made through it! 🤍
Outfit I wore to prom!! It was a lot more detailed but ermm I wasn’t fixing it..
I didn't go to prom when I was in high school because I graduated a year early (I did a lot of required classes early and over the summer), but I think it would have gone alright.
I should tell you one thing – I’ve skipped the prom – I just didn’t attend it. I mean – of course, I was on the official part, got all the documents and then left and went for a walk and an ice-cream with my parents. I was on a party for “medalists” – a meeting for all the people with golden medals (for excellent studies) and “badges” (different school Olympiads winners) – organized by the city government – but it was just a lovely walk in the museum park with my friends (a few classmates and acquaintances from another school). I’ll tell you even more – my classmates later told me that my decision about the prom was very right – it was boring and pretty unnecessary. Another point – we didn’t have the “dance” with the need to have date (moreover, if we had the rule about “date of the opposite sex” more than half of the class would be unable to attend the prom – we had twenty-two people in the class; five of them girls). So, I’m that person who doesn’t understand why the prom is so important. As you probably already understood, I’ve watched “The Prom” and enjoyed it very much. I was looking for a bootleg of it for a year and unexpectedly, I’m happy that I found it only now because if I had watched it a year ago, I wouldn’t have understood a huge part of the musical – the part about musical theatre: all the jokes and references. I didn’t know who is Bob Fosse and Sondheim, I didn’t remember who is Roxie Heart and how do jazz hands look like. Yes, I liked that part very much, but what about the school part? I decided to watch that musical only because I found out that it includes real REPRESENTATION and that makes the whole musical. It was great! I empathize with Emma and Alyssa so much! I also liked the music and dance numbers and the most - “Love Thy Neighbor”. The texts were also so good: I also want a boyfriend who is probably gay and we “sit in his car talking about Zac Efron”; now my new life motto is “if your hands are shaking make them jazz hands”.
