And damn if the dark aromatic coffee inside it doesn’t smell tempting, like real-brewed grounds rather than replicated swill. He twitches an eyebrow and looks up at Carol when she pulls the stylus from his dominant hand, enveloping his broad palm between her own. 

         “.... well, now...” The CMO chuckles, giving Marcus’s hand a gentle squeeze in greeting, “... who am I t’refuse? Especially when y’come bearing such gifts...” He nods to the steaming mugs on the table between them, “...Is that real coffee I smell?”
