THE CENTIBEAD
[ID: a Scolopendra centipede made out of pony beads, using the same techniques one would use to make a bead lizard]
What happened with Scolopendra at the end of book 8 is some anime bullshit.
I'm a Level 400 Dungeon Boss Reincarnated as a Level 1 Crawler, and I'm in Love With The Main Hero????
I finished my first commissioned invertebrate sculpture recently -- a female Scolopendra subspinipes, also known as a Malaysian jewel centipede, guarding her clutch of eggs! She was quite the challenge, boasting 22 body segments and 44 legs in total, but the finished product was absolutely worth the work.
I didn't get a super professional photo of the bottom of the piece but I looooove how the legs wrap around it:
I am always open to talk about commissions if anyone is looking for a specific invertebrate sculpture or illustration!
