So, I got this idea from watching My Hero Academia.

What if Naruto had a high enough affinity with his parents' elements and the fire element from Kurama's influence that he gained two kekkei genkai?

Basically, Naruto gains the ability to use both Ice and Scorch Release, similar to Todoroki using ice and fire with his Quirk, thanks to a combination of Water + Wind (Ice) and Wind + Fire (Scorch).

I always thought it was a bit of a shame that Naruto didn't learn more jutsu not derived from his shadow clones and Rasengan. Plus, it would give Naruto an interesting direction for his growth after the meeting with Haku, where he tries to copy Haku's techniques.

Since we know shadow clones send information back to Naruto after they dispel, it would be relatively easy for Naruto to develop the styles with his other training. Especially if he has people to point him in certain directions they've seen the two kekkei genkai being used in. For example, Jiraya or Hiruzen helping Naruto further develop Ice Release by telling him about techniques they saw the Yuki Clan used during the wars. Or possibly Jiraya having Naruto develop his Scorch Release similar to the Rasengan.

What do you think about an OC that has Scorch Release, but is too scared to use it because they think it's inhumane and gross? I was thinking that there would be a lot of pressure on the OC because they're the oldest child and are expected to become the heir of their clan, they have a traumatic experience with it like witnessing a stupid cousin accidentally mummifying a rabbit or something and they haven't been able to use it since because it was very traumatic for them

That sort of trauma is very believable, yes, but I would say if they are afraid to use Scorch Release for that reason, then they most likely would be scared to use any other ninjutsu as well.

Any tips for developing scorch release? I have an oc with that kekke genkai and the only thing that is clear about scorch style is that instead of burning things, it evaporates liquids. So far i can only imagine Pakura's floating orbes of death

How do you think I could balance a ninja who uses scorch release for a chunin exam setting? Also what other applications for scorch release could there be other than just fire balls of death?

Well, since Pakura is the only person to use Scorch Release, it might be hard to imagine what kinds of other techniques you can do with it that are different from hers.  Scorch Release isn’t too complicated, its essentially just an amped up Fire Release, so I imagine that it could, in theory, be used in a lot of the same ways Fire Release is.

As with any other Kekkei Genkai or jutsu, I would make sure that your character has a lot of time spent on developing and controlling their skill with Scorch Release.  In the Chunin Exams, they would not have as much control over Scorch Release as they would later on in life.
