I really do love the idea of Santa essentially being a curse. Like, being Santa is forced onto Scott and he is bound until death. And Its not like being Santa and spending time with Charlie naturally causes him to grow as a person and feel joy and whimsy, and he starts to embody the essence of Santa, he actively fights against it the whole time and its changing him against his will. It makes him gain weight and hair exponentially, it makes children inherently know that he is Santa, and he inherently knows if they've been naughty or nice, it literally starts changing his personality to the point that he is genuinely upset and yelling at his boss because theyre not respecting the image of Santa, and then minutes later apologizes and says he doesnt know whats coming over him. There is no more Scott by the end of the movie, he is a fully different person. Santa has fully taken over
