I really love what My Adventures with Superman did with Kara. I know its not her classic origin, but it's so well done and tragic, that it stands out as one of my favorite versions of her. The way she's been groomed by Brainiac for her whole life and turned into a monster. Not only having her will ripped from her, and have her body taken and used as a weapon, but being brainwashed to forget the atrocities shes committed, and gaslit into believing everything shes done has been for the good of Krypton, and when she finally learns the truth, shes left with nothing. There is no great Kryptonian Empire, shes been betrayed by the one person she thought she could trust, so she just curls up and cries for her cousin. Letting go of what Kal El represented and appeals to humanity, calling for Clark, the only person who has shown her real love, and in response, shes met with humanity, Lois and Jimmy, coming to save Clark because of their love for him

Im about a season and a half into Omniverse now and im still not *loving* the tone of the show. Don't get me wrong I am still enjoying it, but the tonal shift from UAF to Omniverse is a legitimate hurdle, especially when youre watching them back to back like I did. Like its hard to go from UAF with Ben struggling with his anger against Aggregor and being fully ready and willing to kill Kevin if it came down to it, and the trio fighting a giant lovecraftian beast hellbent on destruction, to "Ben gets a new partner and they go on wacky adventures". And I know a big part of the conceit of the show was to bring back younger viewers, but I cant help but wish the show was allowed to keep its more mature tone from UAF.

But its a tough spot to be in cause when the kids grew up watching classic got older, Ben was older and the show focused on more mature topics, but the by the time UAF was over, those kids have grown out of watching Cartoon Network, so you cant make that same jump, so they had to play for the younger audience again, I just wish it was balanced with the UAF tone a little better instead of going full tilt into the sillier side. And I feel like even if they were going to do that, if they hadn't completely dropped Kevin and Gwen at the very beginning it would have been easier to make that transition from UAF
