StrangeSpot, Round Twenty One: Beaker
Ceres makes a move on Avery specifically while Delta is watching, and sharpens her creativity by practising lying. Guess she’s a Beaker after all!
He might be older and wiser but Master Nervous still makes an absolute mess during meals. That’s a thought Scott keeps to himself - as any good butler would.
Erin moves back in with Frida and Sylvan. The cottage reminds her too much of what could’ve been...
StrangeSpot, Round Nineteen: Loste
Dixie and Kristen’s respective romances with Goldie are revealed and the latter realises she really is a Hart! The love triangle doesn’t work out - Kristen in particular has no idea how to feel about the whole thing. Goldie didn’t mean for this once perfect couple to be on the rocks but at least the butler is around to give Dixie her massages...
StrangeSpot, Round Seventeen: Vu
Things go pretty swimmingly for the Vu family this round. Finn explores his passion for science, Dakota is adorable, Crystal becomes an interpretive dancer, Scot hires the omnipresent butler Scott Darga, and dormie Gloria Mundi approves of Scot and Crystal’s makeout sessions by the pool. The danger of falling in is part of the fun!
StrangeSpot, Round Thirteen: Curious
It’s early days in Mr. Darga’s instruction to lycanthropy and he still finds master Lazlo’s nightly transformations rather distressing. And that’s only the tip of the supernatural iceberg in the Curious household!
Tycho finally gets his wish to board the UFO and meet his biological parent. Once his son flies off into the night, all Pascal can do is wait and trust the visit will satisfy his son’s curiosity. He’ll get the extraterrestrial reparations grant from La Fiesta Tech too, along with a slew of other scholarships.
The Pollination Technician continues to be a factor in this round as Lazlo has his alien baby girl, Leela. Penny looks down at her and literally makes this face: 🥺
StrangeSpot, Round Fifteen: Beaker (Uni)
The twins meet a new dormie, Maria Casilda. She politely enquires about Strangetown and the science/supernatural shenanigans that happen there.
Atom is still crushing on Cyclotron and he’s confused by their kiss. Does Nervous know? What’s next between them? Did Cy just see it as a logical possibility to explore or is there something more real going on?
Unfortunately, that soap opera plot thread is severed when Atom crumbles to dust in the sun, minutes before his very last exam. The doorbell kept waking him up in the night (Ceres gets many admirers at all hours since she wished for beauty) and he got stuck outside in the day, and I sent him to the mood-improving-machine-thing in a last ditch effort to save his mood, as he was refusing to go the final exam... he might have preferred to flunk the last semester over melting... sorry Atom, RIP :( Apologies to Ceres too, who had to arrive home to a tragic pile of dust, then graduate and move home without her twin.
StrangeSpot, Round Fourteen: Beaker
Circe maximises her body skill and she’s eyeing up the General position. She’s happy to be an astronaut in the interim, though. Like anyone’s going to stop her at this point!
Viggo brings a new friend home from school, June Smith. Cyclotron steps in to explain that Viggo is no longer a vampire, so they can hang out after school as much as they like. Which is embarrassing for Viggo, who has a crush on June, and surprising for June, who didn’t know Viggo was a vampire in the first place. She just thought he hated going outside!
The family hires a butler (Nervous’ idea to free up Cy’s time... Circe figures why not have more help?). It’s Scott Darga, of course. Cyclotron has just one question: how does Mr. Darga service so many households at once? “Well, Master Cyclotron, a butler never reveals his secrets...”
Lettice becomes best friends with Nobel Curious. The Curious vs Beaker household divide seems to be melting away.
StrangeSpot, Round Ten: Curious
All smiles here! Pascal is an elder, Avery is constantly serving up delicious grilled cheese, and the family can afford to hire a butler thanks to Pascal’s bestselling novel “Skye & The Stars”, a tribute to the life of his late husband. The butler, Scott Darga, is new to Strangetown; Lazlo’s giving him a rundown of all the mysteries and madness.
“So I’m a hairy dude, right? Well, at night I get hairier.”
“Forgive me Master Lazlo, I’m not sure what you mean.”
“Ohhh, you’ll see.”
