StrangeSpot, Round Seven: Curious
The children of the Curious/Weiss household are quick learners and have a great teacher in Pascal.
Skye’s ghost wanders about with a big smile on his face. His time with his husband and their extended family was short - but he wouldn’t trade it for the world.
StrangeSpot, Round Fifteen: Curious
Tycho is now a freshman at La Fiesta Tech and he’s found his tribe in the Nerdists. They’re working on a secret handshake.
(I’m fully introducing and playing the LGU graduates in Round Sixteen but they’ll be popping up here and there til then!)
Back on Cover Up Road, Pascal is having mixed emotions. He’s so proud of Tycho but misses him already and he’s been promoted to the top of the adventurer career but can’t share his victory with Skye </3
Hopefully he doesn’t miss the wholesome moments happening elsewhere, like Lazlo bonding with Leela and Penny adopting a dog named Kawaii. Yes, that’s three dogs now, but Penny wanted another! She’s obsessed with them and always rolls wants to see wolves too. No wonder she adores Lazlo so much <3
StrangeSpot, Round Seventeen: Curious
The grief of losing Skye never really lessened for Pascal but he took comfort in the belief that they would be reunited amongst the stars.
In a double whammy for the Curious/Weiss family, Nova and Pascal both passed away this round. Lazlo takes on the solemn duty of bringing the graves of Skye, Pascal and Nova to the Strangetown Memorial Cemetery. While he’s there, he strikes up a conversation with Chloe, his half-sister who he doesn’t really know that well. She offers her condolences and highlights that she’s married to Woody, making them even more connected. (Lazlo doesn’t know it but Chloe’s reading the vibes to see about convincing Woody to ask Penny to move into the Cover Up Road home... she’s still not loving the medical barracks).
StrangeSpot, Round Thirteen: Curious
It’s early days in Mr. Darga’s instruction to lycanthropy and he still finds master Lazlo’s nightly transformations rather distressing. And that’s only the tip of the supernatural iceberg in the Curious household!
Tycho finally gets his wish to board the UFO and meet his biological parent. Once his son flies off into the night, all Pascal can do is wait and trust the visit will satisfy his son’s curiosity. He’ll get the extraterrestrial reparations grant from La Fiesta Tech too, along with a slew of other scholarships.
The Pollination Technician continues to be a factor in this round as Lazlo has his alien baby girl, Leela. Penny looks down at her and literally makes this face: 🥺
StrangeSpot, Round Eleven: Curious
Skye’s ghost wakes Pascal every night.
Avery has her first kiss with Delta Land. They’re both grilled cheese mains with triple bolts!
Tycho and Lazlo both wanted to stargaze for different reasons: Tycho wants to be abducted so he can get the Extraterrestrial Reparation Grant from La Fiesta Tech, and perhaps meet his biological parent too. Lazlo just wants to raise his logic skill... so of course he’s the one who gets abducted, lol.
StrangeSpot, Round Thirteen: Beaker (Uni)
The test tube twins are now juniors at La Fiesta Tech. They’re hitting the books like their father would have wanted - and Atom’s not giving up his vampirism like their little brother Viggo was so quick to do (not blaming him though... the sun does have its allure).
They’re of two minds. Do they believe that Circe’s potion is an affront to supernatural states and a kneejerk reaction to an error in judgment? Yes. Are they impressed at the quick turnaround of such a potent formula? Also yes. Atom relays this quandary to Pascal Weiss on a campus visit. Pascal appears to prioritise potato chips over Beaker science drama - for the moment, anyway.
StrangeSpot, Round Ten: Curious
All smiles here! Pascal is an elder, Avery is constantly serving up delicious grilled cheese, and the family can afford to hire a butler thanks to Pascal’s bestselling novel “Skye & The Stars”, a tribute to the life of his late husband. The butler, Scott Darga, is new to Strangetown; Lazlo’s giving him a rundown of all the mysteries and madness.
“So I’m a hairy dude, right? Well, at night I get hairier.”
“Forgive me Master Lazlo, I’m not sure what you mean.”
“Ohhh, you’ll see.”
StrangeSpot, Round Eight: Curious
After the Land round being full of shock twists, the Curious/Weiss household were a welcome breeze! Tycho is now a teen, and a budding musician.
Lazlo adopts a dog named Henry to create a pack along with Nova. Edge loves cuddling his new friend <3 He also celebrates a birthday and takes an adorable selfie with the Curious tower. Surely he’ll grow into that Weiss brow!
Penny and Pascal are progressing well in their adventuring careers and make a great team. Lazlo’s coasting as a gamer. It pays the bills!
