Insomnia is weird.

I couldn't sleep at all last night, so I made midnight tiramisu!

A batch and a half made 2 8x8 pans, one 3x8 Tupperware, 2 3x5 Tupperware, and enough left over to fill half a pint jar.

Also had enough egg whites to make a cloud bread bear

Tasted like angel food cake.

(Also took an hour long shower, put away dishes and ran 2 more loads, washed and dried some laundry, finished 4 episodes of a binge show, knitted another inch on a project, cleaned the litter boxes, took out trash, doom scrolled and couch rotted for an hour, and cleaned up the kitchen. Why the hell do I get energy when I don't want it??)

Homebaked Whole Wheat Sesame Bread Rolls

Because we have no self control in this house, I try not to buy much ready-made food, as convenient as it would be sometimes. But I figure if you go to all the trouble of making something from scratch, you can do whatever you want. So I made poptarts.

~Cardamom Snickerdoodles~

Because sometimes you need to give an old classic a little razzle dazzle. Buttery snickerdoodle dough rolled in cardamom sugar (freshly ground I might add *insert pleased Lady Violet gif here*) and baked until crisp on the edges, but still soft in the middle. Best served with a cup of coffee while ignoring the subzero temps looming on the horizon.
