WIPs & an Introduction

Hello! Thought it might be a bright idea to share a bit about what’s on the agenda for the next few months, as well as introduce ourselves a bit to the writeblr/creativeblr (is that a thing?) community.

We’re Amanda and Miranda (yes, we also find that amusing) and we enjoy creating all sorts of things--music, videos, podcasts, scripts, etc. Most of our work includes comedic and/or spooky elements to them. 

In terms of writing, we are working on the following...

Monster (working title; podcast) - Word of a pair of newly spotted humanoid creatures has begun to circle around the internet’s cryptozoological community, and an up-and-coming blogger is determined to be the first to discover evidence of their existence. As she scours the small New England town for clues, she begins to suspect that perhaps there is something more monstrous than a creature lurking within the town. 

Batman series (working title; aimed for television, but open to other mediums) - This is a true passion project in which we honor the amazing things that have been done with the universe thus far, and combine it with all of the things we want to see--more humor, more horror, more diversity, more Mindy Kaling (because she is a BLESSING). The series follows a 26 year old Bruce Wayne as he struggles to establish himself as Batman (or the ICU at Gotham General, as Alfred and Selina see it) and begins to face more than mobsters and pickpockets. However, it will take more than bloody fists and jail cells to handle these criminals. Will Bruce be able to adapt or will his “killer” work ethic become exactly that--killer?

Eat You Alive (working title; film script) - When failed horror filmmaker Molly Parker left LA, she imagined that she would die in her hometown. However, she assumed she would be, like, 90 and bored out of her mind, not 27 and the virgin offering in a ritual for immortality...

We’ll be posting snippets, playlists, moodboards and all that great stuff periodically, so follow us to stay updated! We’ve also got some music covers/videos and some comedic sketch videos coming, so keep an eye out for those as well! We’re very friendly and love talking about writing, music, TV, etc., so feel free to send us asks or messages!
