SO EXCITED for this little one!! She's my SD prospect, and she'll be coming home Jan 1!! We have a lot of work to do baby girl, but we've got this.

hello hi i haven't introduced tumblr to my new puppy yet so here!

this is bear, he's around 2 months old

his breed is miniature poodle!

we picked mini poodle because their temperament is perfect to fit our needs and lifestyle; poodles in general are incredible around children and people, super intelligent and just amazing dogs

bear is a service dog prospect! he's currently too young to train properly outside since he hasn't had his second vaccination, but once he's a little older we're going to get started on training!

uhh so yeah thats him :D

sulu had his first socialization outing today! we sat outside home depot and he got treats as people passed by us. great danes, despite their size, are naturally shy and fearful so we have a lot of confidence building to do as he enters his first fear period of development! we played “open bar, closed bar” which i’ve experienced in my apprenticeship! as people approached and passed us, sulu got a click and a treat. when there were no people, we just sat there. this is how you show fearful dogs that the presence of a person has a positive impact! he started the outing off by standing and backing away whenever a person came near, and by the end was calmly lying on his mat and accepting treats as people came by. i’m so proud of this smart boy!

Everyone, I got news to share! Not exactly new ones, because I've known about this for four weeks now, and been quite sure for six, but I need to build up suspension etc.

Meet Ezer (aka עזר)! Registered name will come later, as I'm not 100% sure it is what I think it is (there are, after all, 9 pups in the litter). I spent the whole afternoon hanging out with the breeder and all the 13 poodles, and helping out with bathing the pups.

Ezer is (which you might have guessed if you either speak hebrew or have followed me for a while) my new sd prospect, and even now I can see just how good he is.

Pick-up date is on Tuesday, the 16th! I might ramble on about him a couple times until then if you're lucky (Or.. unlucky?), he really is too good to be true

How does Equinox sound as a name for this baby? It shortens to Quin and Nox, and he comes home just 2 or 3 days before the Equinox!

Okay, so, about 3 hours later I already have my first draft, thanks to a wonderful writing frame based off of @doberbutts initial breeder contact thing, found here. It is, as advertised, truly an essay, but it’s also the most efficient thing I’ve ever written. So thanks to Jazi!
