Gosh, homemade hummus... I had a phone date with my parents so I even took the extra time to peel the chickpeas. (Not a required part, but makes the hummus smoother.) I also for the first time made tahini from scratch: about 1/2 cup of sesame seeds, oil, and salt and puree until very smooth. I then added in two cans of drained, rinsed, peeled chickpeas. Along with about 6 tbl olive oil, almost a whole bulb of garlic, juice from one lemon, and oregano. Blend this together until creamy and smooth in a food processor. Don’t forget the salt and pepper, and what you make is deliciousness! Enjoy!
