Facts on the top of my head that i’ll share in a random order
• I planned to reveal this later, but i keep postponing that ONE drawing that this info goes along with. So screw it. Tobleron met Sundae when the latter was young, like 7-8. He wasn’t cared much by his parents, and was just- generally unhappy. So when Sundae saw that there was a circus in town, he figured it’d cheer him up, especially after being bullied by classmates. And that’s where he met Tobleron! He was MYSTIFIED by Tobleron’s clowning skills and bug-appearing powers; while the rest of the audience was terrified. So after the show was over, Sundae told Tobleron that ‘when he’d grow up, he’d like to be like him’... Tobleron having no concept of age/growing up, just kinda told him ‘what are you waiting for? I can totally hire you right now!’. So Tobleron just kinda illegally adopted/kidnapped Sundae; and the latter’s family never really cared.
•... but as i said, Tobleron has no concept of growing up, so... He kind of treated Sundae like he’d treat anyone else; he never ‘raised’ him. He only ever taught him clowning and creepy tricks. So Sundae just... Never noticed his growth/time passing, and never matured. He’s actually barely aware that he’s an adult... As bad as Tobleron is, he actually isn’t the one who taught Sundae to crawl on all fours, dig in people’s backyards, steal teeth etc. He just kind of develloped all this on his own. Tobleron honestly has mixed feelings over these... Why steal children teeth when you can just TAKE teeth? Why throw bugs at people when you can simply make them appear? ... they’re both just as bad as each other.
• Sazae is gay, and the kinda namekian that isn’t into sexual relationships. His boyfriend ‘requirements’ are for the man to be sliiightly stronger than Sazae himself, so they can have an healthy rivalry and improve each other’s strenghts. But if someone is attractive to Sazae but is much stronger than him, he’ll have zero positive feelings and just want to crush them.
• Liegois wants to get better at miming so he doesn’t have to talk to people anymore. Talking can be quite hard for him... He just isn’t good with words.
• Secchi actually makes more money than you think, despite being a freshwater sailor who has no house, and lives on his boat with little to no possesions. The hard-to-get creatures he fishes can be sold for quite a lot, and tend to be bought by rich fellows looking for fancy seafood. But he never uses that money for anything; he’s sastified with what he little he has.
• Secchi talks like a pirate sometimes, especially when he’s getting frustrated. Which is often. Fighting tough river creatures and being good at it kind of warps his expectations for some reason.
• In-universe, Tobleron is being VERY mysterious/vague with his past, and, everytine he’s asked, changes his story drastically. He even says straight up stupid things to people he believes are gullible (Sundae). But here’s his real story: Tobleron was a ringmaster in his past, but his circus was in Hell! So he was making horrific shows all the time, and his demon circus mates were just as horrifying as Tobleron himself. And Tobleron was so good, and his circus mates respected him so much, that they did some kind of ritual to make Tobleron get out of Hell, and spread his horrific talents over to the mortal world. And while he’s at it, find mortal people that go along with his creepy stuff, so that when they die, they can all go to Hell together, and have a even better horryfing circus!
• The only the ones will go to Hell with Tobleron are those who’re ok with his creepy way of managing the circus; so, so far only Sundae (but there are others! Soon, soon.) And they WILL go to Hell, but they won't die just like that; Tobleron wants to use his mortal circus crew until the very end (so until they're old/uncapacitated) and since Tobleron’s from the anime's version of hell where all the vilains are, the a river of blood and all that, Sundae won't be exactly upset, quite the contrary! He'd be super happy to be able to do creepy stuff and have other people enjoying it!!
