Not me literally being surprised by the sex scene with Dorian oh my god

I mean- I swear had NO idea-

I only went to my quarters bc I had just bought a new bed after a lil shopping spree in Val Royaeux and I wanted to see how it looked in the room but then it triggered a cutscene and Dorian came up to my Trevelyan already whispering on his ear and grabbing him by the waist and I just sat there with my flabbers gasted 😳😳😳😳😳

And the aftermath?? With Dorian walking around the room naked and yapping about decorations bc he was too scared to talk about what they just did?? And the fear but also the relief and the sheer hope in his eyes when my Trevelyan reassured him about his intentions????? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Bitch I was just redecorating Skyhold a bit before closing the game and going to sleep why must you hit me with a 10 ton truck of tenderness, passion, chemistry, raw emotions and every possible thing that is capable of making sure I don't get ANY SLEEP AT ALL

I had to physically refrain myself from SCREAMING bc it's late and I have a sister and neighbours, holy shit man I really wish I had some mental prep before jumping into the scene it was so beautiful but now I have a sore throat and my sleep is GONE 😩😩

And the fact that dating Dorian as a Trevelyan is quite the High Society Scandal™️ - confirmed by the orlesian courtisans that hang out in Skyhold, the people from the Chantry, Leliana's agents gossiping amongst each other, Josephine and by Dorian himself - is also not helping on my task of calming my brain the fuck down so I can get some decent sleep, the already emotional moments have the room to be even more charged by this-

This game is such a goddamn emotional rollercoaster.

I come back from recruiting Emmrich, which is very charming as a Mourn Watcher, and return to the Lighthouse and talk to Lace about the Inquisition and Solas and I'm grieving again over her immense compassion.

This game really is just about how this team hasn't let the cruelties and sadness of the world harden their soft and loving hearts

Thinking about Sadie Adler and how well she was written,,,,about how rare it is to see a woman in media so completely and actively uninterested in a romantic relationship with anyone for several years, despite how close she becomes with members of the gang, both male and female.

Thinking about how Sadie was allowed to grieve Jake in such a raw way, even to the point of suicidal ideation—and not once did it feel like a discredit to (or shallowing of) her own character. She was written to be her own person, but still written to care so deeply about her husband that his loss affected the core of her being to the point of scorching her morals and hardening her heart I just ajdbajdbdjd

Thinking about how possessive she was written to be—even in context of her friends and family—without ever directing that trait into romance, no matter how easy it would have been to do.

She's also written to be so badass without being a Token Female Badass and I love her for that—she feels like a character that is female and not a modern female character, if that makes sense

Tabitha from scarlet hollow is such a complex character, like she survives off of pb&js and lives in a disgusting, old estate that she can’t afford to fix, but at the same time, I think she doesn’t mind it a big mess. But she is also continuing her family’s legacy of underpaying and overworking workers in the mines and would be hit #1 in the class war…

The result of the strike will likely be mass layoffs or the dissolution of the mines bc Tabitha cannot afford to meet their demands, but if a business cannot afford to meet the workers demands, then it probably shouldn’t exist

I just feel bad shit talking Tabitha in game bc I can’t help liking her, she’s trying to sustain the town to delay the collapse of all of their livelihoods. Her own life is so tied to scarlet hollow that she can’t imagine what might happen if it were gone, the mines ending would be the same as her way of life ending and her way of life is not even particularly good but the town radically changing is necessary and things have to get bad to get better? Or maybe things get bad to stay bad, there’s no guarantee, you just have to do what’s right. Yet I still find it difficult to fully say things to the miners like “Tabitha needs to give you guys what you want” bc I don’t believe she can or something like “Tabitha is a big bad boss” bc it’s not that simple, the corruption comes from previous scarlets and she has inherited it
