In my life I was blessed to receive, in my eyes, one of the highest honors/rewards as a young actor… I got to play a young Robert Duvall. As we all mourn the loss of a legend, #robertduvall I’d like to say three words “What a Life” I could write three pages on my encounters and experience with him and playing his character as a Young Hub McCann on #secondhandlions You see he was playing an amazing character but I chose to just play him. He was the character to me. We talked BBQ and cowboy stories and I didn’t see him again until the premiere of the film. When I finally found an opening I walked up and nervously said “Bobby, I truly hoped you enjoyed the film” he gave me a big hug and picked me up a little bit and with no words I felt he was proud of what I did. That will be the best award I ever receive. Robert Duvall was proud I played him. Safe travels for you sir, you leave behind a legacy in the business of immortality. You may be going away but we get to enjoy your work until the world disappears. One more favor if I could… Say hi to Dad, I know he’d really love to meet you.

  Nuestras creencias forjan nuestra realidad. Hay temas e ideas que generan debates imposibles de resolver con certeza. En estos casos, lo que marca la diferencia es la posición que asumamos frente a ellas. Hace ya varios años, en la época en la que para descargar una película, había que dejar el computador encendido toda la noche y luego quemarla en un CD para archivarla, porque los discos duros no podían guardar más de 2 o 3 películas; en la época donde IMDb todavía no se había popularizado y realmente no había mucho criterio previo antes de elegir una película, sino que, era más bien un proceso con algo de azar basado en la afinidad que generaba el título, porque ni siquiera la carátula se mostraba en la página de descargas que yo usaba… tuve la grata fortuna de encontrarme con una película más bien impopular, que me marcó la vida y se ganó un pase directo a mi lista de favoritas. El nombre de la película es Secondhand Lions o en español lo “traducen” como Dos viejos cascarrabias. Es una película bien entretenida y divertida, lo cual logra conectarlo a uno; la historia cuenta la vida de un niño que tiene una madre un poco desorientada podría decirse, o en términos coloquiales, una mala madre.
