Follow @alkalineherbshop for alkaline herbs 🌿 ⠀ Intermittent fasting is a dietary strategy that focuses on when (not what) a person eats. Some popular fasting methods include the 16:8 diet (fast for 16 hours per day, e.g., from 7 p.m. to 11 a.m.) and the 5/2 diet (significantly restrict food intake to no more than 500 calories 2 days per week). ⠀ A growing body of animal and human research reveals fasting is an effective and generally safe tool for weight loss. Intermittent fasting is also shown to: ⠀ - Increase cellular repair - Reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in the body - Improve blood pressure and blood sugar levels - Decrease insulin resistance (a major risk factor for type 2 diabetes) - Promote longevity (due to changes at the genetic level) - Promote the growth of new nerve cells - Improve brain function and mental clarity - Provide for "gut rest" and improve the diversity of digestive bacteria ⠀ Far from a "fad," fasting is an evolutionarily-based survival strategy that our human ancestors practiced out of necessity due to frequent food scarcity. Humans who were able to survive not eating for prolonged periods of time were able to pass on this resilient trait to their offspring. ⠀ Of course, modern day conventions like grocery stores and food delivery services make it easy to eat at virtually any hour of the day, even if it's not advisable. For a free and simple way to improve your health, introduce intermittent fasting into your own lifestyle (but speak with your doctor if you have chronic health conditions or are being medically supervised for any other reason). ⠀ Sources: https://thedo.osteopathic.org/2019/01/intermittent-fasting-can-we-fast-our-way-to-better-health/ https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/10-health-benefits-of-intermittent-fasting#section8 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5988561/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CGxiJpHBPfV/?igshid=1g3zvwf14pgo1
A landlord will not be able to discriminate on a person based on source of income in Baltimore County.
You are discriminating if you don't rent your property to someone who has no income to pay for it. You are a bad person if you don't trust people who don't work for the things they have. You are in the wrong for wanting what you own to be taken care of. Just another slick way to get more democrat voters scattered around non democrat areas. You can clearly see right through their bullshit. It's not about helping the poor, it's about spreading them out to collect more votes in areas they can't get votes in. We aren't stupid!
Don’t trust the maintenance man.
I don’t care if someone you know referred him. I just had two men in one of my properties for over two days with four tasks. They told me 3/4 were complete. Guess what, only half of the items got completed. What did they do all day yesterday? Honestly, I have no clue. How do you find a worthy maintenance person/contractor?

My godsister and her family are caught in a perilous situation. For the second year in a row, the furnace in their home is broken, and the person who owns the home won't fix it. They are without heat, and their only recourse is to hope that Section 8 housing program can find a healther, safer pla...
My godsister has both MS and Stage 4 breast cancer, and their furnace is broken. I want to get them a space heater and a few nice blankets.
If you’re strapped for cash, you can still help by reblogging this and keeping them in your thoughts!
