The only shitty thing about being a self-shipper in some fandoms is when you want to connect with people who are in that same fandom as you and share your love of the characters you ship with, whether with fanfics you wrote or art you drew/commissioned, but having this gut feeling that you just KNOW that people are going to laugh at your or call you gross or whatever, and it sucks. You basically have to tread so lightly and tiptoe around glass with how you talk positively about certain characters because otherwise people will bully you for it in any way they can and almost force you to isolate yourself from the majority of the fandom, if not completely ruin your love for that source- and that shouldn't happen, but it does.

Whether just for fun or actually serious about it, LET PEOPLE SELF-SHIP. So long as they're not hurting or offending anyone, the character and person shipping themselves with them are both adults, and are happy with how they live and express themselves, it shouldn't be an issue. Who fucking cares if people call it "cringe" or "stupid" or whatever words they come up with? It's something we love, and characters we love, and us self-shippers deserve to be able to feel safe and accepted in the sources we love without worrying about being insulted by it. Let us love what we love- we're not stopping you from enjoying your fandoms, so don't do it to us.

Imma say it because I needed to hear it and I know there are other self shippers that need to hear this.

It is ok to fall out of love with your f/os.

You are not a bad person.

You are not abandoning them.

You do not need to worry what others will think of you.

Self shipping is here to make you happy and if it's not doing that anymore? It's perfectly ok. Period.

I know a lot of self shippers stuggle with mental illness, attachment issues and a whole lot of other things.

Some times when you stuggle with mental illness your emotions can be a rollercoaster. There is nothing wrong with having whirlwind romances with f/os. Some times you can be madly in love and they can consume your soul & the next week the emotions are gone.

It's not a judgment against you, or how you experience love & attraction.

Working things out with self ship is normal and ok. And it's not a judgment of how you'd be in a real relationship. Just beacuse you drop f/os doesn't mean you would drop an irl s/o without good reason.

So in summary shout out to my self shippers with:

Bpd, DID, bipolar or any other mental illness that effects your self ship. You aren't broken and you're not a bad person. It's ok to struggle making and keeping attachments. You are no more or less a valid member of this community. 💗

I’ve had this idea in my head for a while and decided to finally put it into fruition. Just a little something for @korekiyosbf​ of him and his boyfriend. I tried to make Hibiki as accurate as possible, but Kisekae didn’t have fishnet gloves, so I apologize for that. Also, the only boots with laces option was too tall ;-; . And they didn't have paperclip earrings. Also, for some reason the tie doesn't show up outside of the vest unless the vest is unbuttoned, so sorry about that. Overall though, I’m proud of this and Hibiki, I hope you and Korekiyo like it. 

Yes Korekiyo x Hibiki is canon. Sorry, I don't make the rules.

My friend was selling five commissions for Valentine's Day, so I reserved a slot, and this was the gorgeous result. Yes, I am the girl in this picture. I was feeling at such a loss, but this image is the perfect display of all the love I could ever hope to express, in the best and worst times. It's the hope that I can radiate something that is increasingly hard to find in the thieving business, that I can be hopeful, honest, and lovely in a way that does not steal or falsely seduce. This hope that I can love without questioning everything and that I can be myself with no shame and feel like it's enough--I think it's been captured in this image.
